Needless to say, I stayed awake practically for the rest of the time, I managed to fall asleep at 7 in the morning, then woke up again at 10.
I looked awful, my eyes were red and slightly swollen, my hair were messy,so much so that I literally looked like a fucking lion.
I went to the bathroom and quickly straightened myself up, but needless to say I remembered everything that happened the night before.
I washed my face with some cold water and brushed my hair to try to atleast look like I slept.
I went into the kitchen shortly after getting settled and found Justin, Cody, Trent and Gwen talking.
<Courtney?Are you okay? Did something happen?> Justin rushed over to me when he saw me in that state, which I honestly thought was very cute as he seemed genuinely concerned.
<Yeah I'm fine, it's just been a long time since I last got drunk so the hangover hit hard> I said smiling at him.
I was going to pretend like I didn't remember anything, in fact I made the decision not to say anything to Bridgette or Heather, and I know that might seem like a bad thing since they are my best friends, but their boyfriends are literally best friends with Duncan therefore preferred to avoid any risk.
My sentence must have been credible since Justin nodded to me and together with him I approached the table to sit and find my usual yogurt that Gwen had already prepared for me.
<We were deciding where to go today and for now most of us say go to Nice, are you coming with us?> Cody asked me.
<Oh yeah sure> I was really excited to go and see Nice, as a city it has always inspired me a lot.
<Good for you> Gwen said giggling as she went to get some medicine <last night I got a fever> and in fact I only noticed at that moment how covered she was, you could clearly see the two sweatshirts she was wearing along with some trousers that made me sweat just by looking at them.
<I offered you the jacket and you refused to take it-> but Trent didn't have time to finish his sentence before his girlfriend stopped him.
<Shhh,you're a boy,you would never understand> this sentence made me smile, those two really had a nice relationship.I finished eating and talking to the others and then went to get ready.
Unfortunately, while I was going up the stairs I met the last person I wanted to meet.
<'Morning princess> I walked past him without even looking at him.

Did she really just ignore me?
I seriously stood still for a few seconds.
Did she remember the kiss?
No, she usually forgets things when she's drunk, she couldn't remember.
But why would she ignore me?
I shouldn't even ask myself, I know very well that she hates me.
I was honestly amazed, until yesterday she used to greet me and we had at least normal conversations.
I walked into the second floor,evidently I had an expression that didn't exactly express joy, in fact almost as I reached the room Tyler approached me slightly worried.
<Duncan? What happened?> I was very undecided whether to tell him what had happened the night before or not, but after a while I gave up and signaled him to come into my room.
I sat down on the desk and started explaining, from the kiss to when she pulled away, to when she totally ignored me today.
<Woah> he told me, chuckling rather amazed.
<Do you think that she remembers what happened?> he said again.<No I don't think so, she never remembers anything in the morning after getting drunk, she's the one that told me that,and also happened a few times when we used to drink together> I replied shaking my head slightly.
<We are hanging out today,you wanna come with us? Maybe you'll manage to distract yourself a bit> he said to me, moving slightly closer.
I thought for a few seconds.
<No, I wanna rest for a bit>
Tyler looked at me apologetically, but he knew he couldn't do anything about it.-

I kept my promise, in fact I slept most of the hours since the others had left.
I thought I was at home alone but when I went into the living room I saw a girl lying on the sofa watching some program on the TV.
<Why didn't you go out with the others?> Gwen asked me as she turned off the TV and sat down.
<I didn't feel like it> and I went and sat on the sofa, at a safe distance from her.
<And you? Why didn't you go out?> I asked her.
<Can't you see?> she answered amusedly <I have a fever> she looked at me for a few seconds and then spoke again.
<You're acting weird>
<Sorry?>
<I said that to me you're acting weird,did something happen?> I was amazed by her question.<Why would you care?> I asked her.
<Well, we'll be alone in the same house until the others come back, so I wanted to try to make conversation> she wasn't entirely wrong.
I sighed.
<Nothing special, something..particular happened last night> I didn't want to explain what happened to her.
<I think I saw something...Court was with you right?> fuck.
<What did you see.> It came out badly, partly because I was anxious knowing that she knew, partly because Gwen and I weren't on good terms.
She thought for a moment.
<You were kissing..I think> and she stopped for a moment <I find it strange that Court didn't tell me anything tho> I stood still and swallowed.
<We were both really drunk,she probably doesn't remember anything> there was no point in denying now.
Gwen nodded and started to get up, but I stopped her with my voice.
<Gwen.> she turned around to look at me.
<I know we're not on good terms...but please don't say anything to Courtney. It's better if she doesn't remember anything>
She thought about it for a moment, and then nodded.
<Just because I want to protect her, not to do you a favor.> and she left.

I didn't know what to do, now I knew that Duncan also remembered the night before, oh what a bad situation.
