𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙮'𝙨 𝙥𝙤𝙫

Unfortunately I was back in Toronto two days after the red carpet.
Those two days were amazing, Justin and I bonded even more and oh god, I will never forget the nights we spent together.

It was morning, around eleven o'clock, I wasn't in the office since it wasn't under renovation, yes I know, it hasn't even been open for 4 months and it already needed to be renovated, what can I say.

I was on the computer since I had to look up some contacts for a case, I had my eyeglasses on, I was in shorts with a pajama shirt and with a low ponytail, it was not my best moment.

Despite this I was on a video call with Justin, he wasn't at his most fashionable either, but he was still beautiful under my eyes.

He was still in California, the show was a great success and other brands requested his face, I was really happy for him.

We were still talking when my doorbell rang.

I wasn't expecting any visitors so I was confused.

<Do you know who it is?> Justin asked me.
<No,no I don't know> I told him, taking the phone with me and going from my study to the entrance.

I walked up there and looked through the eyelet to see if it was worth answering or not.

I saw a worried Bridgette with a little sack in her hand who was almost shaking.

I think Justin saw my worried look, so he asked me <Courtney? Did you see who it is?>

I was almost paralyzed seeing Bridgette like that.

<Yeah, I have to go Bridgette is here> I told him without hanging up, I wanted him to be the one to do it.
<Oh okay,tell me if something is wrong, see you later Court> and he hung up.

I opened the door and when Bridgette saw me she bursted into tears and went in immediately.

<Oh god..Bridgette what happened?> I took her in my arms, closed the door and carried her towards the sofa, I felt like she was about to faint on the spot

<I'm...I'm almost sure I'm pregnant...I-I bought a test earlier but I didn't want to do it alone> and still trembling she took the sack to open it and showed me the test package.

I looked at her and my first thought was to hug her.

I pulled away shortly after and I noticed that she was probably having a panic attack, it seemed strange to me since she has always dreamed of becoming a mother, I didn't understand why she was panicking now.

<Come on, let's go to the window for a moment to get some air> I got up from the sofa and ran to open the first window there was.

I immediately went back to Bridgette and led her hand in hand to the window, she finally took some deep breaths and managed to wipe back her tears.

<I'm scared Court> she told me.

<Scared about what? Bridgette you've always dreamed of having children, I don't understand... what's the problem?>

<I'm afraid of what Geoff will say...he...he told me he wanted to wait until we were in our 30s before having children and we,us...I'm only 24 and he's 25...he didn't want to have children now> she replied with a trembling voice, it seemed really strange as a reaction considering that they just got married and considering that they have always had a solid relationship, but I'm no one to judge other people's thoughts.
