~Y/N's Pov~
I expected Natasha to be waiting at my door to take me to the assassin's tiny headquarters, though it was someone else. The guy was like any other average, normal assassin; strong, muscular, stern and intimidating. He didn't once talk to me, only giving instructions to enter the back of the truck. Of course, he placed a bag over my head for extra security that I don't see the way to the base. Though, I already saw the path because Natasha didn't place a bag over my head once no other assassins were around.
It was strange not seeing Natasha being my driver, but it was even more weird when she was nowhere to be seen at the base. After what happened yesterday, It was a bit stress relieving, but I also was a bit sad not seeing her. Honestly, I have no idea what to say to her when we meet again, and that's an 'if' we meet again. She probably doesn't want to see me ever again.Following Vlad and the other assassins through the hall, we stop at a room. I felt very self-conscious and a bit on the edge since I was the only non-assassin here. They can turn on me any second, so I'm high on alert.
The one assassin open the room, and reveals Bosnic and a few other people inside. An empty, cube, rusty-metal box is all they have. Sitting tied up, duct tape over the mouth against the floor. Bosnic meets my eyes, and he frowns, curious why I'm with assassins.
"Alek will take you to the agency with Bosnic and all of his guys. After that, you, Y/N, will never speak of us again. Never try finding us assassins, otherwise..."
"Yeah, I know. You'll put a bounty on my head and make all the assassins come for me."
Vladimir nods. We were taken in rows to the back of the truck again. They then placed the bags over our heads, wrapping it with rope like always, so that we can't escape. Fortunately, I have an advantage. Unlike Bosnic and his guys, my hands aren't tied, but that won't help me escape if I wanted to. Unfortunately, the duct tape over their lips were removed so that they can get more air- only nice thing Vlad did for them. If any of them scream though, they get killed.
I relax, leaning my head back against the truck since there's nowhere to look. It was a perfect time to plan something to say to Natasha.
"Hey, who's the agent in here?" A deep voice growled with a Russian accent. It was Bosnic.
"That would be me" I sighed, not in the mood.
"Interesting that you chose to arrest us instead of the assassins." I stay quiet. "They're the bad guys too, you know. We are just people who wanted to buy drugs, Vladimir never gave it to me. He should just burn in hell!"
I said, "Possession over drugs is illegal. I have a reason to arrest you all."
"There's a lot more reasons to arrest the assassins!" He laughs, "You know, Vladimir told me what he did to you."
"What are you going on about?"
"The drugs. Natasha. You." Why the hell would Vladimir tell Bosnic that. "He seems proud for ruining your friendship with her... Don't you want to get revenge, huh? Lock him up too? We'd be best cell buddies."
"Shut up."
"I see what it is. You're afraid to lock the assassins up, because you're out-numbered. I can help you get revenge on the assassins. We're not the villains, Y/N L/N. The assassins are... Natasha? She's the bad guy."
If I could see him right now, I'd start throwing hands and he could do nothing but slowly suffer. It sounds like Vladimir told a lot about Natasha and I, but not the fact that we were girlfriends. I'm sure none of them knew that. It's quite intimidating that criminals know my name.
"Do you hear me, agent?"
Once again, I say nothing and ignore him. He just chuckles, knowing that I have nothing to say. He knows I want revenge on Vladimir, but like Vlad said, if I rat them out, my entire life will be ruined.
Bosnic laughs like a maniac. "Do you hear me!? You can't trust them! They'll turn their backs on you!... After you've done what they wanted... they'll come back and kill you."
-
I walked with Bosnic and his other men into the organization, forcing them to walk in a row with handcuffs on that Vladimir gave me. I threw the bags that were over our heads away in a dustbin next to the alleyway we parked at so that nobody expects anything.
Making our way inside, Polly was absolutely flabbergasted seeing so many criminals being brought in by me. Her jaw fell to the ground, and she had to lift up her glasses again as they slid down her nose.I didn't think it would be this nerve wracking walking through the agency again. Other agents also shocked and clearly curious. Any of these men can ruin my reputation by telling the other agents the truth- that I worked with assassins.
"L/N"
A chill went down my spine as I hear a voice I haven't heard in quite some time.
Boss marched down the hall towards us."I was wondering why you weren't at work for a while, guess you just went out on a manhunt." John said.
Bosnic rolled his eyes. Even Vladimir gave him a warning, if Bosnic tells about this mission, Vladimir will have the other inmates torture him and his men.
"Ah, yeah" I laugh nervously, "These people are serious, hard to catch. It definitely took a while."
"Yeah, and oh, tell me: where's agent Harper?"
"Andrew?... He got shot after his mission."
John frowns, "Seriously? Why don't I know about this?"
"Private mission." I shrug.
"Right... Well then, tell him I send him a 'get well'"
"Will do." I smile, innocently.
I waited until he walked away, then continued walking with the guys to the other room. I hand the criminals to the agent who places them in the small cells before they get picked up and transferred to the real deal- the huge prison. Bosnic asks to speak to me again before getting locked up. It is a law to have them heard before taking them away, so I drag him to the side.
"Last chance, agent. Do you want help getting every single one of the assassins behind bars?"
"No. I'm not betraying them, they'll come for me and my friends." I mumble.
"You're making a big mistake." He grins, "But... I respect your decision. Bye, agent."
I hated the way his voice sounded. It was like he knew something's going to come at me. Maybe karma.
They were put in their cells, Bosnic still grinning at me before I walked away.Immediately, I went to my office and fell down onto my chair. Literally sitting just there, thinking back in life. It happened all so quick, I can't comprehend anything. Wedding turned out rogue, forced to work with assassins, met the mafia leader and had to bribe my way out with a valuable necklace, Andrew got shot, Natasha's pissed at me, assassins caught Bosnic without Andrew and I's help, but I still had to take Bosnic and his men to jail. The weight of the stress I've carried over these past days is finally relieved and gone. Now, I only have to talk to Natasha.
It's all over.
For now.
