Whenever Blitzen and Hearthstone are out somewhere that requires Blitzen to wear his sun protective gear, he will every once in a while turn towards Hearth and say "I love you" out loud, knowing that Hearth won't ever know he said it. (This would take place before dating)

Hearthstone still believed in Santa Claus when him and Blitzen first met because Mr.Alderman couldn't be bothered to tell Hearth that Santa Claus isn't real. But Nidavillier doesn't have the Santa Claus tradition, so Blitzen didn't even know about it until he first went to Midgard. Of course, Blitzen quickly realized that Santa Claus was the only part of Hearth's childhood that wasn't taken away from him, so he refused to be the one to break the news. He basically bought Hearth and himself an extra small present every year and said that it was from "Santa" until eventually Hearth realized that the handwriting was the same and asked Blitzen about it. Hearth was a little disappointed to learn that it was all a lie, but he was grateful that Blitzen would go so far to not ruin it for him.
