Midnight laughs (Cody's PoV)

WARNING: Minor swearing

I was all by myself in my house, late at night, watching the news while petting my two cats, Yin and Yang. My parents had left me alone for 2 weeks, since they both had to go on an urgent business trip. I didn't mind one bit, I absolutely loved it when my parents weren't around, so much peace in the house. I was pretty calm until the news showed that there was going to be a thunder storm around my area. I hate thunder storms... and I know myself pretty well, knowing that I could not be alone tonight. My anxiety was going to rise up, and that would be bad. Since my parents weren't around, I could invite over Trent, who's my best friend. I quickly picked up my phone and started texting him.

The Code-Meister: hey Trent could you come over to my house and keep me company plssssss? there's gonna be a thunderstorm in the area and yk how much i HATE thunder

Music bro: Cody im so sorry i wish i could, but im out in a family vacation for summer...

The Code-Meister: oh thats fine i totally understand, thanks anywaysss!!

Okay so, Trent's off the list... maybe Gwen could come?.. wait, never mind... she's out with her family in France for the whole summer... so she's off the list too. Who can I call?.. Trent and Gwen were the only two friends I have who live closest to me. Wait... there is also Noah, but I don't think he will come over just because I'm scared of some stupid lightning. He would consider that reason stupid. Might as well give it a try. It doesn't hurt to try and convince him.

~Gap/Bookworm~

Gap: heyyy Noah :)

Bookworm: What do you want?

Gap: um... could you come over to my house? im all alone for the next 2 weeks snd theres a thunderstorm tonight..

Bookworm: What? Are you afraid of thunder or something?

Gap: ...

Bookworm: Whatever, fine. I'll be there in 10.

Gap: omg thank youuu!!

I was so realived when Noah actually agreed to come over. I would have kill myself if I had no one here with me. Ok, i don't mean that (Maybe i do). Some minutes had passed and it had already started thundering, and my anxiety also started attacking me. I was in the living room, wrapping myself under my blanket, while my two cats were sleeping next to me. Oh how much I wished I was in my room, in my comfort zone, but I couldn't, because then I wouldn't hear Noah arriving.

It wasn't long before I heard someone knocking on my door. I went to check, and I saw that it was Noah. I was beyond relived that Noah had arrive, cause I could feel my body starting to shake, meaning I was getting more anxious. I quickly opened the door, greeting him.

Cody: Hey Noah!!

Noah: Hi... I brought some clothes, because I know you and you are going to make me stay over.

Cody: Ooo wonderful!! That's totally cool!!

I quickly let him in and closed the door. As soon as I closed the door, it thundered, making me jump a bit. I think Noah noticed this, because I saw him look at me a bit surprised, but mostly annoyed.

Noah: Okay... Cody what the fuck?

Cody: Sorry... I'm just really afraid of thunders; gives me anxiety...

I heard Noah sigh, as he went to the couch and sat down, then patting the spot next to him.

Noah: Well, what are you waiting for? Come here...

I was a bit surprised by Noah's sudden nice gesture, but I nodded, and sat next to him. He grabbed the blanket which was on the couch, and wrapped it around both of us. I felt my cheeks burn up.

Noah: Don't worry, my younger cousin is also afraid of thunders, I know how to deal with this situation. We could watch movies in the meantime, until the storm calms down.

I got to admit, I was shocked. I never would have guess Noah knew how to deal with people who are afraid of thunders. Then again... I never got the guts to talk to him a lot and get to know him. Got to admit, for the first time in a long time.. i felt safe. He turned on the tv and put on the movie Home Alone, my favorite Christmas movie!

Some minutes passed and Noah was already reading a book. How boring. I, however, was paying close attention to the movie. Sure, I've seen this movie more then 10 time each Christmas, but I like paying close attention, and especially when there's a thunder storm going on.

Right after my favorite part of the movie comes, it thundered, very loud, lightning and all. When I say I jumped, I jumped. I got closer to Noah, as my anxiety raised up, not paying any attention to the movie anymore.

Noah: Cody, calm down, the thundering won't hurt you...

After he said that, he placed his arm around me holding me closer, resting his hand on my side. I flinched quickly, I was, treally ticklish... Noah quickly looked at me weird.

Noah: Now what's wrong?..

I didn't respond, I didn't know how to respond without sounding suspicios. I just gave him an awkward smile.

Noah: Are you... ticklish?

Shoot. I was that obvious, so obvious that he now had his suspicions. I shook my head quickly, denying the truth, but I guess he didn't believe me, because he places both his hands on my sides, not letting me go easily.

Noah: Hmm... I think I'll test that theory.

He quickly started tickling my sides, making me laugh my butt off, while squirming around the couch. I could see him smirking, and I could hear him chuckling. God damnit, his smile is so pretty... but nevermind that!! I needed to find a way to escape his tickling!!

I would say stuff like, "Noah stop it!!" or "Please Noah, let me go!!" but in between laughs, of course. Finally, after a few minutes, Noah stopped tickling me. I sat back up, glaring at him, while he chuckled.

Noah: Wow, didn't know you were this ticklish. It's kind of cute, and your laughs too.

I felt my cheeks burn up quickly. He found my ticklish side cute?

Noah: And... if it makes you feel any better, you totally forgot about the loud thundering while being tickled.

I realized that was true, when I looked around, saw and heard, that the loud thundering I hated so much, was gone. It had stopped. I quickly looked back at him, while I gave him one of my tooth gap grins. I think saw him get a bit red too?

Cody: Thank you...

Noah: No problem Gap...

1143 words.. sorry this took so long, I had 0 motivation plus I was getting lots of hate... so I took a small break, but I promise I'll post more!! I'll also be doing this same story again, but in Noah's PoV!!
