Fitz
Fitz regrets what he said to Keefe yesterday. All he wants is him and Sophie back. He was currently sulking in his room, questioning all of his life choices when the doorbell rang, Fitz was very annoyed.
He stomped down the stairs and wrenched open the door to find a scroll.
Fitz picked it up and saw that it was addressed to his whole family.
"Mom, Dad, Biana, there's a scroll down here for all of us." He yelled.
They all came, taking their sweet time.
"Open it," Alden said with a yawn. He was currently looking for Sophie but had no luck.
What the scroll said, was Fitz's worst nightmare.
Grady
The last day has been rough for him and Edaline.
Grady regrets what he said to Keefe and Sophie. His face shows what he's been going through. From the red and puffy eyes, to the dishelved hair. Grady and Edaline have hiding out in there house not even bothering to check on the animals.
The doorbell rung for the first time since Sophie and Keefe disappeared. Grady unwillingly opened it and picked up the scroll. It was addressed to him and Edaline.
Must be from the Council.
He didn't even bother calling Edaline because she was not in a good place right now. Grady tore off the seal and opened the scroll.
"We're doomed."
Oralie
The Council have gotten nowhere trying to track Sophie and Keefe. Their registry pendants showed the Shores of Solace but they were not there. The trackers in Sophie's clothes also show the Shores of Solace.
So entranced in her work, Oralie barely hears the knocking on her door. When she finally registers what she heard, her hopes go up. The only person to knock on her door without an appointment was Sophie. But then she remembered that Sophie hates her.
Sighing, Oralie opens the door and finds a scroll.
Who sent a scroll to me?
She opens the scroll half-heartedly and what it says makes her heart stop beating.
The Neverseen have declared war.
a/n Didn't expect that did you? Comment what you think will happen next. Now back to the story. This is happening when everyone is getting their scrolls.
Sophie
"Foster?"
Sophie looks up from her phone. (she bought it when they arrived in the London)
"Yeah."
"I have some really really bad news." Keefe looks really scared.
"What's wrong?" Sophie is now fully alert.
"The Neverseen have declared war on the Lost Cities. Everyone got scrolls this morning from them."
Sophie's mind is spinning.
Why now? Oh. I'm gone. They must have heard. The Black Swan isn't as strong anymore.
Keefe waves a hand in front of Sophie's face. "Foster, you still there?"
"Oh, sorry. How did you find out?" She asks.
He smirks, "I got someone on the inside."
She raises an eyebrow at him, "If you're going to be evasive, I'll just read your mind."
His smug grin falters, "Okay okay, it's Dex. I hailed him the yesterday and I found out what happened. He stuck up for us after we left."
"That is why Dex is my best friend. But I feel like we've gotten off topic. What are we going to do now. I don't want to go back."
Sophie can tell Keefe has an idea but doesn't want to say it.
"What?" She asks.
He looks at her and says, "Well, I mean we could train here and help from the shadows. Besides, I don't want to go back either."
Sophie thinks the idea over. "I like that idea. They deserve the fear they're going to feel without me there."
He smiles. "That's my Foster. Where are we going to train and what are we going to use?"
"Um, well I brought throwing stars, daggers, you know the necessities and we can train here."
He looks shocked for a second but then relief floods his face, "Oh good, I thought we would have to go back to the Lost Cities."
Sophie smiles and goes back to scrolling on her phone.
"Hey Foster? Want to go on a date?"
I haven't included much Sokeefe but it's going to get better.
