Fitz
Screams echoed through the house as Fitz ran down the hall trying to make sure his parents were safe.
"MOM! DAD!" He cried. He was almost to Alden's office when an explosion sent him crashing back into the wall. The impact was so hard that he was drifting in and out of consciousness until someone shook him by his shoulders.
"Fitz. Please wake up. They're destroying Everglen and we're not strong enough."
He recognized the voice as Biana's. He tried sitting up but his head was pounding with pain.
"I can't. I can't go on." He murmured almost collapsing again from the pain. Biana fumbled with something in her pocket and took out a vial of clear liquid. "Elwin told me to give this to anyone who was hurt."
Fitz gratefully drank the liquid and the throbbing in his head faded. Sitting up slowly, he asked Biana, "What's happening?"
"They're fighting in the gardens but the explosions made some of the walls fall down. The gardens itself are getting burned." She looked ready to cry.
Fitz pushed himself up and said, "Let's finish this."
Dex
The Neverseen were ruthless this time, holding nothing back. Dex was currently throwing exploding cubes at where Gisela and Fintan were. They were outnumbered and losing. Biana had went into the house a few minutes ago, looking for Fitz. He didn't know where Sophie and Keefe were, he just hoped they were alive.
Right as he saw Fitz and Biana exit Everglen forcefields surronded them.
"Perfect, now we have the whole gang here." Lady Gisela purred. "What should we do with you? Any ideas?"
Everyone, including himself just glared and stayed silent, silently telling Gisela they wouldn't play her game.
"How about we kill them one by one and let the others watch." Ruy suggested.
Dex glanced around trying to see if Sophie and Keefe were near. Lady Gisela noticed and sneered, "Where's your precious Moonlark when you need her?"
"Right here."
Dex knew who is it was even before the figure emerged from the shadows. The Neverseen were shocked but quickly masked it with a tight smile.
"Perfect, now we can kill you too." Lady Gisela said, trying to sound confident.
"Hey! Don't forget about me!" Keefe yelled from behind a tree.
If they weren't in the middle of a battle, Dex would've laughed. Especially when Sophie rolled her eyes and yelled back, "No one forgot about you, doofus. You just ruined my dramatic entrance."
Keefe clutched his heart, pretending to be hurt. "Wow Foster. I never knew you felt that way."
"Oh, shut up!" Gethen barked.
"Who's making me?" Sophie taunted.
At this point half of the Black Swan were holding their laughter in. Gisela grit her teeth and spat, "Stop laughing! We're going to kill you now."
Sophie looked around in shock, her face saying "are they serious". "Really? That's great but you have to get through me first."
Gethen snorted. "Great. We'll kill you first."
Dex was worried because Sophie has never been able to defeat the Neverseen on her own.
She smirked. "Bring it on."
"Seriously, why does everyone forget about me?!" Keefe yelled again.
"Go get mallowmelt and come back here." Sophie directed. He saluted and ran into Everglen. Dex could here Mr. Forkle mumble something about "you kids".
When she turned around, a member of The Neverseen pounced. The member launched electricity out of their hands but Sophie ducked and shot fire at her belly.
Dex watched in awe as she took The Neverseen down one by one until only Gisela, Fintan, Gethen, Ruy, and Trix were standing. Sophie trapped them in a forcefield so they didn't escape.
"Sadly, The Council needs you alive so I can't kill you." Sophie sighed. "Even though I don't care what the Council thinks. Now I have a tough decision of how to knock you out."
The Neverseen looked very confused and Sophie noticed it.
"What's wrong? Didn't you know I have every ability?" She smirked.
"That's not possible." Gethen stuttered.
Everyone looked to Mr. Forkle.
"It was only supposed to be used if it was an emergency." He said.
Sophie clapped her hands. "We've gotten off topic. What should I do to you?"
When no one answered Keefe piped up, "How about you inflict on them. Make it nice and painful."
A smile spread across her lips but before she could inflict, Lady Gisela asked, "Fitz? Don't you want to know where Alvar is hiding. I'll tell you if you convince Sophie to let me go."
Fitz was taken aback with offer. "Why would think I could convince her?"
"Because she likes you, obviously."
" I do not." Sophie snapped.
Gisela raised her eyebrows. "This is news to me." She turned back to Fitz. "Fine. I'll tell you if you just let me go."
"No. I already lost something because of my Alvar obsession., I will not let it happen again."
Dex knew the "something" he lost was Sophie.
"If you're done making deals, I would like to inflict on you. Also we would get that information when the Council orders a memory break."
She then rose into the sky, bolts of red lightning coming our of her everytime she hit a person. After The Neverseen were knocked out, Sophie floated down, landing softly on the grass. She was met with a million people crashing on to her.
"You were amazing!" Dex cried.
"How'd you do that?" Fitz asked when they got off Sophie. She looked a little uncomfortable but answered anyways, "I manifested it in London."
"Oh." Fitz was probably remembering their encounter with Sophie and Keefe at the cafe. A awkward silence hung over them like a cloud.
Mr. Forkle cleared his throat. "Alden and Della went to get the Council, your parents and bodyguards. They will be here any second."
Dex could see Sophie's mood shift. She looked angry, even when Keefe whispered something in her ear.
They soon glittered into view and their eyes landed on Sophie.
"Uh oh."
Hey guys! I hope that was good. I'm sorry I wasn't updating much, I was busy (playing Zelda). Thank you for all the views.
