Sleepover

Keefe 

"What just happened?" Keefe asks when they fell out of the void.

Sophie pants. "They found us."

He rolls his eyes. "Thank you Captain Obvious. Why didn't Dex tell us they were coming?"

She glares at him. "I don't like your attitude. And maybe he didn't have time."

Keefe runs a hand through his hair. "Sorry. Do we have to move now?"

"I don't think so. They know we're in London but not where we sleep and stuff."

He nods and collapses in his bed.

"Get some rest. I'll wake you if anything happens." Sophie kisses his forehead.

--Time Skip--

"Keefe, Keefe, wake up." Sophie shakes him awake. "Dex is calling."

Keefe rubs his eyes and grabs his imparter from Sophie's hand. He was not happy that he was woken up from his sleep. 

"Dex, you woke me up from my beauty sleep."

"Sorry. But I have to apologize for not warning you we were coming. Fitz was in a hurry to get to you and I was never alone."

"It's okay, Dex," Sophie interjects. 

"Also he stormed over there because he found out you were dating. Biana heard your conversation and saw Keefe kiss Sophie's hand." He continued.

Keefe was sad, shocked, and mad at the same time. He didn't want Fitz to find out that way but he shouldn't have treated her like that.

Sophie facepalmed. "He wasn't supposed to know about that."

He looked closely and Dex and saw that he was biting his lip.

"Dex, is there something else?" Keefe asks. "You look like you're hiding something"

"Um.... The Black Swan got some information about the next Neverseen attack." He said slowly.

"And?" Sophie urged.

"It's going to be at Everglen on Friday when Biana hosts a sleepover for us." He blurted.

She and Keefe exchanged a glance of horror.

"Cancel the sleepover then."

"The Black Swan wants the Neverseen to attack. They want to finish them off."

That's a terrible plan.

"At the price of Everglen?" Sophie asked incredulously.

"Alden and Della were fine with it." Dex shrugged like he had no idea why.

"Here's what we're going to do. Me and Sophie will sneak into this sleepover and we will fight with you when the Neverseen attack." Keefe instructed.

Sophie and Dex just looked at him.

"What?"

"Look at you. Being all responsible." She teased, shoving his shoulder lightly.

Keefe smirked. "I can be responsible when I want to." He started to lean in to kiss her but he forgot Dex was there.

"This just got weird. I'm going." He said quickly. After he hung up, Sophie and Keefe burst out laughing.

Friday

"You're so slow, Foster."

"Shut up Keefe. I'm trying to be quiet unlike you." Sophie retorted.

They were invisible behind Dex because they needed someone to open the gate.

"Dex. "She whispered. "Make sure Biana goes in front of you."

His nod was very subtle.

"Hey Biana!" He said nervously.

She looked at him suspiciously. "Are you okay?"

"I'm just nervous because of..." His voice trailed off. Biana nodded and signaled him to follow.

"Everyone is here." She said. "We're going to play truth or dare."

Dex's gulp was very loud.

--Time Skip--

"Tam, truth or dare?" Fitz asked.

"Dare."

"Who is your crush?"

Tam turned red and mumbled something.

"What was that?" It was Linh who asked this time.

"You never said it had to be audible."

Everyone scowled.

"This is boring, can we raid the kitchen?" Keefe whispered. On cue, Sophie's stomach growled. She looked around to see if anyone heard but they were too engrossed in Fitz's singing.

"Fine."

Keefe pumped his fists and they took off downstairs to the kitchen.

"I found the sweets." He whispered-yelled. They were stuffing their faces (still vanished) when they saw Alden and Mr. Forkle walk by. Sophie pulled Keefe behind them to listen into their conversation.

"The Council wanted them to be here for the attack," Alden said.

"I know. I just couldn't bring myself to go get them. Besides, Fitz probably scared them off." Mr. Forkle joked.

Alden sighed. "True. Did you know that they're dating?"

They're talking about us. Keefe thought.

Mr. Forkle pinched the bridge of his nose. "It seems to be the biggest news right now."

Just then Alden, Mr. Forkle, Keefe, and Sophie heard Biana squeal.

Alden chuckled. "It's makeover time now. I suggest we go to my office before we get one too."

Mr. Forkle smiled and walked down the hallway.

--Time Skip-- Biana

"And done!" Biana said. She had just finished Linh's makeup and she was pretty happy about it. She wished Sophie was here so she could do hers too. 

"It's really good Biana."

"I know it's good, I did it."

They met up with the boys in the sleepover room. "It's getting dark so we can play one more game. Then we must prepare for the attack." Fitz said.

Biana was very scared but she didn't want to show it. She kept her voice steady as she said, " Let's play seven minutes in heaven." B

Fitz groaned.

"Hey, just because your crush is not here doesn't mean you can kill the mood for everyone else."

Fitz flushed and stopped talking. Biana skipped over to her closet and pulled out a box with pieces of paper in it.

Tam snorted. "You had it ready?"

Biana shot him a glare. "I'll go first." She reached into the box and pulled out a piece of paper. "I got--"

BANG!!!

The whole house shook and there were multiple screams. Mr. Forkle burst through the door and yelled, "They're attacking!"
