Sophie

"Keefe?" Sophie yelled, "I just had the best idea ever!"

Keefe popped his head into the room and raised his eyebrows. "The Mysterious Miss F has a great idea. This I have to hear."

"Remember how we found out I could vanish more than one person yesterday?" Sophie asks. Keefe nods. "Well, how bout we put that skill to good use and go spy on people in the Lost Cities? They fixed Foxfire."

Keefe smirked, "Who are you and what have you done with Sophie Foster?"

She shrugs, "I'm bored."

"That explains everything." Keefe jokes.

Sophie throws her hands up, "Do you want to come or not?"

He smirks again, "I wouldn't miss this for the world."

--Time Skip--

"Are you sure this is safe?" Keefe whispers.

"You've asked that like 20 times!" Sophie hisses.

It was lunch times so the halls were empty.

She pulled Keefe in the direction of the cafeteria. He hesitated.

"Scared?" Sophie taunted. That seemed to be the right thing to say because he immediately took of in the direction of cafeteria.

"Keefe!" She whispered-yelled. "You have to hold my hand to vanish."

He groaned. "Fine!"

--Time Skip--

Soon they were standing in front of the doors of the cafeteria. Sophie pushed them open, nearly bumping into 3 people.

Keefe smirked. "Can't go anywhere without tripping?"

Her cheeks heated up, "Shut up."

He turned his attention to our table. "Can we spy on Fitzy? You have telepathy today right?"

"Have you memorized my schedule or something?" Sophie asks.

A blush crept up his face, "Something like that." He mumbled.

"Awww, you're such a a fanboy!" She teased.

"Shhhh. They can still hear us!"

Sophie giggled, "Oops."

The bell rings signaling the end of lunch. When Fitz gets up, Keefe and me follow him.

We make it all the way to the telepathy room without tripping.

That's a first.

We slip in as Fitz opens the door. Tiergan is already there.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Vacker. Today we will try transmitting to Sophie again." He says.

Fitz groans. "We try this like everyday. She won't respond."

"Today we have a different goal. If she does not block you, you must try and read her mind."

Sophie gasps a little too loud because Fitz looks around, confusion etched on his face. After he scans the room, he turns back to Tiergan and asks, "Isn't that an invasion of her privacy."

"This is an emergency. It's not ideal but with the Neverseen escaping and these Vanished people popping up, we need her." He replies.

Fitz still looks unconvinced but sits down and closes his eye.

"Put up your blocking." Keefe whispers into Sophie's ear. She nods.

She imagines a brick wall surrounding her brain. After a few minutes, they see Fitz give up and groan.

"Her blocking is up." He tells Tiergan.

Tiergan nods, like he knew this was going to happen. "It's okay, keep trying."

"This is boring. Can we spy on someone else. Or go to my ditching spot and do some things?" Keefe wiggled his eyebrows.

Sophie rolls her eyes and says, "Let's go to Havenfield. I need to check on Iggy."

Keefe

As we fell from the void into Havenfield's pastures Keefe could feel Foster's mood shift. When she suggested we come here, he felt determination but now he feels sadness, regret, and anger. She's probably remembering what Grady and Edaline said.

"Foster, we don't have to be here." Keefe says.

"No it's okay." He lets it go but he didn't miss how her voice trembled.

We walked up the stairs to Havenfield, still vanished. Foster opened the door and peaked inside.

"It's all clear. Let's go up to my room."

Keefe follows her up, trying very hard not to make any noise. Of course with Foster, that's impossible. She trips 7 times (yes, I'm counting) on the way up.

When we make it up, we see Sandor guarding the door. Keefe can feel Foster tense up.

She turns to me and whispers, "I'm going to mesmerize him." It was so quiet, it was barely audible.

He nods. Her eyes narrow and he watches as Sandor moves, looking very confused. He also looks like he's going to say something but then he shuts his mouth. "Let's go, he won't say anything."

Foster opens the door slowly and we see Grady and Edaline lying on her bed, crying. When Keefe looks over to Foster, he can see tears in her eyes. Soon Grady notices the open door and calls out, "Sandor, could you shut the door?" When there's no response, Grady frowns and gets up. Keefe can feel Foster's fear and he starts leading her back towards the door. When Grady is 3 feet from the door, he tells Foster, "Run for it."

She nods and starts running with our hands still connected. We can both hear our footsteps and so does Sandor. He starts running after us.

"Sophie, stop him." Keefe hisses.

When he looks back Sandor is frozen in his spot. Keefe takes out his cobalt blue crystal and let the light sweep us away.

Hey guys! I hope that was good. I know Sandor just popped up but I forgot I haven't put him in. That you for 400 views! It means a lot.

Happy reading!
