I groan as I sit up, I'm lying in front of the back door. I remember what happened and lurch to my feet. I feel anger and sadness coursing through me. I feel tears run down my face again and wipe them away. I will get Ezra back no matter what. The sad truth of it all was that I truly did love him. Now that I had a hope that he might love me back I had to get him back.
I quickly transform, not caring who sees me. I speed off to my cave. When I get there I change back and go over to where I had a stash of weapons. I grab as many as I can conceal and hide them under my clothes. I then go back to the back door and use my magic breath to make Ezra's footprints visible.
I look up and groan. "It's getting really dark out. I'll just have to set out tomorrow." I think to myself. I go back to my cave and settle down for the night.
Before I fall asleep I take one last look outside into the night and say "Goodnight, Ezra. I'll get you back I promise." With that I hunker down and am soon sleeping lightly.
