The Sapphire Dragon

Part 15

As I get close to the mine I see a building that has been made around the mine's entrance so that the mine is in the house. I alight in a tall tree and get a look of the land. I don't see many people but I'm guessing they're all in the house. I then fly out of the tree and land on the ground a bit closer to the mine.

I walk forward and when I see no one I fold my wings back and continue forward a bit less cautiously. I made it all the way to the house door with no incident. It's very quiet, I don't like it. I feel like I'm walking into a trap but there's no way to avoid it. I pull up my hood, readying myself to enter the house.

Taking a breath I open the door and find nothing. There was no one there. I walk forward and open a door directly in front of the front door and walk through. I find myself in the mine, darkness presses in on all sides of me. I continue forward letting my eyes adjust to the dark.

I hear an echo from farther inside the mine. I stop and use my breath to see if Ezra is down here. Sure enough glowing footprints leading toward the noise appear. After a bit I hear that the noise is shouting and it seems to be coming from a wide crack in the wall. I look down and see that Ezra's trace goes into the crack.

I go beside it and ready myself for what I might find inside. I take a deep breath and walk in. The first thing I see is a ring of people in the corner of a big cavern. Noone notices me for a second but someone glances over. He alerts the others and then I'm in the center of a big fight against a ton of people.
