Waking up next to a little blue Loki wasn't such a bad thing. Not until you realised you were blue too

His arms interlaced with yours and his spine curved to the valley of your chest. his body melted into yours, and it felt so good to hold something. You couldn't help but admire the little fur he had on his back. all fluffy and soft.

It wasn't day yet. the sun was still down

Loki shifts in bed, and you think of making a run for it, but you don't - or you can't- he's already awake and grabs your hands so you can't do just that. His skin was still an iridescent sapphire. God, it was beautiful, but it was touching you, which meant you were blue too. You couldn't let him see you blue. You weren't ready yet.

He squeezes your hand, pulling you closer to wrap it into his body. He turns back to his pale self, unsure about how you felt about his birth form. "Hello."

"Hi," you manage to whisper. Why were you so tongue-tied around this idiot? He's just a man!

But he could be your man. if you could just lean a little bit and kiss his shoulder.

"We've got to meet Thor today," Loki sighs. He's been anxious all morning. You note his deep breaths and shaking hands. He must either be really excited, or really worried, "What if he doesn't forgive me?"

Worried it is.

"Loki, in all my years that I've known you, Thor was always the first to forgive if not forget." you squeeze his arm, "We'll be fine."

Frigga gave you the address to Thor's Villa, and you and Loki got on the local commute to get there. It wasn't far but the breakfast you had made you drowsy.

Loki and you boarded the metro, and a lot of the Asgardian people kept an eye out for the trickster, and you couldn't help but seek Loki's hand for comfort. This man was starting to become your stress toy.

You grabbed his hand in your seat, and held it for dear life and the lines of the underground grew dark. Creepy men and no lights? Yay

He pulled you closer to him, snuggling you between his arm and chest, and you gladly accepted. His corduroy sweater and faded jeans were glory to your drowsy mind. You could definitely nap here. It wouldn't be that long till you got to your drop-off anyway.

He let you sleep in his arms, heart melting at the soft sight. He rubbed your arm when the reminder for the next station blared, helping you sit upright. Eyes blinking and mouth half agape, you were honestly cuter than you'd like to admit.

"Hey, you're going to be okay," you reassured him, clutching your bag as you stepped off that horrible monstrosity of a vehicle, "Thor's going to love you."

"I do hope so, at least I can turn into a snake this time." He joked.

Ringing the house bell to the god of Thunder villa was.. interesting to say the least. It was the sound of, well, thunder. How would he hear a visitor during a storm? Probably forgot to think about that...

The confusion on both of your faces when a little girl with braided hair and markings around her eyes was immeasurable. How- Was this the wrong house? And then his laugh bellowed.

"Loki?" He laughed, his eyes wide and his hands bearing a pair of uggs, "I haven't seen you in what? 6 years?"

He sees you from the crack of the door, and gasps your name in disbelief, "Oh my god, I took you to be dead!"

"We are dead, Thor, in this timeline," you looked over to Loki, who was still examining the young child, "We're from a different timeline. May we come in?"

"Why, yes of course! Oh, you must!" You missed thor.

"I'm sorry, why is this child here?" Loki finally finds his silver tongue.

"Oh, that's love, my daughter-"

"You have a daughter?!" Loki shouts, "When did this happen?" he twirls his finger in love's direction.

"Well, she's adopted you see," Thor pulls a chair at the table in the living room, taking a moment to sit down, "I think we both have a long story to tell."

\-/

"Wait wait, so you found a place which destroys entire timelines because one person made a mistake?"

"Yup, and obviously we've burnt it to the ground," you look at Loki, who's grinning from the reference.

"And guess what? the guy who created it, stole me from my timeline to work for it!" you sipped your hot cocoa, "Gosh, Thor, I deem you the number one dad in the world, this hot chocolate is great!"

"Please, that praise is well directed to Jane."

"Speaking of Jane, where is she?" Loki asks, reminiscing the time his brother fell for a mortal woman on Earth.

"She's uh, she's dead."

"Oh?" Shocking.

"Jane fell ill to cancer, and she gave her life for the Asgardian children, and for love here," Thor spoke, overcome with a melancholic memory, "I miss her every day, she would have loved Love. She rests in Valhalla now, with Father."

"I'm sorry to hear, brother," Loki grabbed Thor's hand from across the table. How do you console your adopted brother you haven't seen in years regarding the death of his lover? "She rests in Valhalla now, I'm sure of it as well."

"Have you met Brunnhilde?" Thor asks, desperate to change the topic.

"Unfortunately, we haven't met the mighty king," You shake your head.

"Was she part of the Valkyrie? I'm not so sure brother-"

"Oh come on! You'd love Brunnahilde!"

"Oh dear."
