You sat on the floor, legs crossed and eyes on the holographic slideshow presented by Romanoff.

"Is that clear?" she requisitioned. You nodded your head and turned your head tenuously to observe the others around you. They were beings from all access to the multiverse; The original six, Riri Williams, Wanda, Hope Van Dyne, Maya Lopez, Miles Morales, Gamora, Nebula, Groot, Rocket, Kamala Khan, Steven- apologies, Stephen Strange, Eric Killmonger, Scott lang- well, Nat managed to get a lot of them.. All variants you had met at some point.

Loki stood apart from the group, his body concealing itself within the shadows as he watched the other Loki with beady eyes. He remained in the corner after Nat dismissed everyone to rest for the night and prepare for the battle ahead.

You didn't really know what to say. Honestly, you just wanted to be with Loki, your Loki. And here you were, preparing for some sort of multiversal war. Not a fun vacation plan.

"Hi," the other Loki leaned towards you, "You can call me Lokliten, i know it gets confusing between two Lokis."

"Didn't the Allmother call you that when you were younger?" you quizzed, a smile threatening to show.

"Yes, it was. I wanted to.. Honour her- since she.. Dies." Lokliten continued. "So uh, are we together in the future?"

Out of all the questions in the world, Lokliten, was this the one you must ask?

You turned to him, watching his eyes, and a faint smile across his lips, "At some point... yes."

"I missed you," he sighed. You turned to face him. Your face was solemn and stark. You couldn't let this happen again, this was bad.

"Look, Loki- Lokliten. I am not the same person you knew. I am not her. She used to be me. But she's... Please. Just, don't think I am the same."

Loki watched you try to convince the boy, a similar version of himself, and tried to recollect his memories. He remembered your sparse visits to Asgard, with your flowy gowns and satin gloves, and how you would have rather sat alone rather than bore yourself with distasteful tumours. He remembered sitting beside you through some of them, the two of you jesting in conversation upon a splendid book or two, and the fascinations the universe had to offer. You weren't the same, but he was just as happy with you.

"What happened to you?" Lokliten asked you, he just wanted to comfort you, "Natasha found me at the TVA. Apparently, my cannon event was a bit, uh, I had acted on my affections towards you... I was just wondering what was yours when she told me you were there once too."

You did have a bit of a gala time with her.. you sort of- you fucked her, this variant being set apart from the Avengers when you met her in Budapest. She was strong and resilient, and honestly, you just wanted a hot redhead before you settled on pruning the timeline.

You heard her voice calling. "Змея!", she walked, smiling at you and gesturing to Loki to get out of the corner and join the conversation, "Listen, I just wanted to say thank you to you both for helping us. It was actually Lokliten here, who suggested you as a warrior, Змея, and we couldn't be happier when Loki could come along too."

"It's fine, сука, we just want to get this over with so we can get back. Have a home, you know?" you replied, gently sliding your arm backwards to place Loki's hand in yours.

She nodded, hugging you and pulling in your Loki later. It was nice to meet her again, just not in this situation.

"I'm going to go for a while, boys." you huffed, lowering your shoulders, and made a beeline to the next room.

"Lokliten?" Loki spoke after you left, "What... happened to you?"

"Well, I almost got pruned." he sighed, "Natasha saved me- said I would be helpful on the team... it's nice, you know, having a family."

"I know," Loki sighed. He wouldn't call Laufey his father, nor Odin. Frigga was the closest thing to family, Thor was a good brother at times. Mobius was one of the most loving people he had ever met, and you- you were always the one to put him first; to listen to his thoughts and ideas; to make him know his worth. Even now, you still treated him with kindness and told him stories about your new past.

"She's amazing, isn't she?" Lokliten interrupted his flow of thought, snapping him back to reality.

"She is," Loki answered briefly, not daring to make eye contact. It felt weird talking to his younger self. "I'm glad you've found family here."

"Did you find yours yet?"

Lokliten, you really do cut deep, don't you?

"I think I have," he answered. "Do you know about your...heritage?"

"I do actually," Lokliten nodded keenly, his hand running through his hair, "I've been told by almost everyone here. I've met a version of us with quite a pretty shade of navy. He was nice."

"Nice?" Loki spiked up in confusion. Although he had come to terms with his Jotunn lineage, he still carried the deep-rooted hatred he was taught to have for them.

"Like a German actually, not all of them are bad." Lokliten shook his shoulders, inhaled and let out a deep breath to calm his nerves, "I can't believe we're finally going to battle tomorrow."

"You've never been in one before have you?" Lokliten shook his head, and paused to think about Loki. He scared him, holding him by the waist and squeezing his body so much that it would pop.

Loki was a bit apprehensive about it before, but returned the hug and wrapped his arms around his variant. His magic whirled around the two and a gust of wind shot up around the two. "Stay safe out there," Loki warned.

"Will do," Lokliten nodded once more, and pulled away from the god of mischief to bid the night adieu.

Tomorrow will be a long day.
