Ch. 5 Have fun, First-years!

Warren lets go of Leah when he sees they made it safely to campus. The two teens sat beside each other as they watched the rest of the students get out of the bus.

" Thanks for cushioning my fall." Leah looks at Warren.

" No problem." Warren shrugs.

Leah nodded.

She stands up and follows the rest of the students out of the bus. She heard footsteps behind her, which let her know that Warren was close.

" Have a good day at Sky High!" Ron looked at Leah and smiled at her.

Leah nods at Ron and smiles at him. She looked away and walked out of the bus. She spotted Magenta among the crowd and speed-walks to her.

" Have a good-" Ron stopped himself when he saw Warren give him a stern stare.

" Hn," Warren grunted, walking out of the bus and following the rest of the students to the campus.

"-day at Sky High," Ron mutters, finding Warren scary.

" First-year students! Meet over here!" A seventeen-year-old female named Gwen Grayson, with shoulder-length dark brown hair and chocolate-brown eyes, stood in front of the building, waving at them.

Leah and the others approached Gwen and stood before her.

" My name is Gwen Grayson. I am Sky High's Student Council President. I am also a Technopath. Do you guys know what a Technopath is?" Gwen asked, looking at the group.

The first-year students converse with one another since they have never heard of such an ability.

Gwen's forehead twitched, getting annoyed. She opened her mouth to answer her question but stopped when she saw a hand raise.

" Do you know what a Technopath is?" She asked with a fake smile.

" A Technopath is the power to interact, communicate, and manipulate technology with the power of the mind." A feminine voice responded.

" That's correct! And may I know your name and ability?" Gwen asked with a genuine smile.

" Leah. Leah Stronghold. And my ability is Empathic Manipulation." The other female responded.

The first-year students around Leah whispered to one another since they knew one famous Superhero with the same ability as hers.

Gwen looked at Leah with mixed emotions.

' She must be Elizabeth's Granddaughter. Only Elizabeth has that same ability that I know of.' She says internally.

Leah looked at the first-years with envy. She noticed that the first-years weren't looking at her with envy.

She looked at her surroundings, and her eyes blinked when she saw her brother, Will, looking at her with envy.

" It is lovely to meet you, Leah. Again, I am Gwen Grayson. I will be taking you and the others to the GYM. You all will be meeting Principal Powers and Mr. Boomer. They will sort you all into Heroes or Sidekicks." Gwen smiled at Leah while looking at the rest of the first-year students.

Layla frowned at the mention of the sorting into Heroes or Sidekicks.

She looks at Will and whispers to him. " I don't like that this school sorts you into Heroes or Sidekicks. I find it unfair."

Will didn't say anything since he didn't like that Leah was already taking all the spotlight from Gwen, the coolest girl in school.

" Follow me." Gwen turns and starts to guide the first-year students into the school building.
