Leila

Leila's guilty conscience hounded her the minute Justin left after their talk. She's not a heartless bitch who likes to trample on people's feelings. She thought she could've chosen her words carefully and not rejected him so bluntly like that. Hell, I am a heartless bitch, she concluded.

Jessica called her and asked if she wanted to join them at the outdoor wall climbing area. She heard Joey mention earlier that their friends were going there and after what she did to Justin, she had to say no to that. She's guilty enough already.  Her headache was back with all the thinking she'd been doing, or maybe it's  because she had too much sun so she used that as an excuse why she couldn't join her friends.

Hours later...

"Leila, what did you do to Justin?" This was the greeting Christine gave her when she emerged from her room.

Leila tried to keep a neutral face as she turned to her friend.

"What do you mean?" She's not sure why she was being asked that question, she's sure they have no clue about what happened last night unless Justin told them. She doubts it though, he doesn't seem to be that kind of guy.

"Well, he had been acting like a love-sick puppy. We were told you were the last person he was with before he started behaving that way." Christine answered as she watched her apply lipstick.

There was going to be some sort of a program at the main dining hall so all the guests were invited to attend and to dress up for it.

Leila looks at her from the mirror..

"I didn't do anything to him." There's no point in telling them what happened. It's between her and Justin.

"Exactly, you didn't do anything to him. How about doing something with him because that's probably what's been bothering him. His friends got to get boned last night except for him. " Noelle replies with a chuckle.

"You know what, Justin is a good choice to break that fast you've had with sex. I mean you should've seen his body out there earlier. Good lord, I could have him for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day." Noelle smacked her lips loudly. "Just saying.

"I agree with Noelle. You totally missed seeing that fine body earlier." Christine added.

If  only you guys knew what happened last night. Leila thought to herself. Wait a minute, even I don't have any idea what happened and what his body looked like. She thought to herself. And she will never have a chance to see it either after what she told him earlier. That thought somehow made her feel regret for the choice she had to make. Stop it Leila, you did it for your daughter and for Philip. She scolds herself.

Everyone dressed up for the night. Guests were advised to bring semi-formal wear for the dinner events in the resort and did everyone dress up. Leila felt like every single high-end brand was represented there. Even her friends were wearing them. She on the other hand chose a dress which wasn't as expensive but looked just as chic as everyone else. One of her regular customers in her bakery is a popular local designer and she had designed and made her dress for the night. The material was soft and it was made to accent her figure while the material flowed with her every movement.

'It would tease a man's imagination without being too revealing.' She had told Leila.  "Well, I don't want to tease any man's imagination at all." Was her reply back then.

Because they were almost late when they got there, most of the tables were full. Joey waved at them and said they still had room at their table. Leila wanted to shrink at the thought of having to face Justin again. She squeezed in between Allison, Nick, and Jessica just to avoid being near him. She managed a quick look at him when they arrived, he was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and pants, making him look rakish. She wasn't sure if he was looking at her because she couldn't make herself look up at his face.
