Yn brought her bike to a stop in front of Jungkook's house, taking in the grandeur of what looked like a castle. As Jungkook dismounted from the bike, he invited Yn to come inside.
"Yn, come inside," Jungkook urged.
Politely declining, Yn replied, "No, another time."
"Come on, Yn. Somi will be so happy if she sees you," Jungkook insisted, attempting to persuade her to join him inside the imposing residence.
Yn tried once more to decline, but her attempt was interrupted as Somi emerged from the house, running towards Yn with excitement. "Oppa!! You're here, come inside," Somi exclaimed, hugging Yn's hand with enthusiasm. Jungkook, witnessing the affection between the two, rolled his eyes playfully.
"Next time, Somi," Yn insisted, but Somi, with a determined pout, pleaded, "No, no, no, come inside, oppa, please." Yn sighed in amusement, signaling his surrender. She signed and parked her bike, then followed Jungkook and Somi into the impressive house, ready for whatever awaited them inside.
Entering the house, Yn abruptly stopped in her tracks when she laid eyes on someone unexpected. Somi, noticing Yn's sudden pause, inquired, "What happened, oppa?" On the other hand, Jungkook couldn't help but smirk at the unfolding scene.
In response, Yn maintained composure and diverted the situation. "Can you get me some water, Somi?" Yn requested, and Somi, sensing the shift in atmosphere, nodded her head and headed towards the kitchen. As Somi left, Yn's expression hinted at the unexpected presence that had caught her off guard, leaving the air in the room thick with anticipation and unspoken revelations. Jungkook's smirk suggested that he was well aware of the surprises yet to unfold.
Jungkook instructed Yn to take a seat, gesturing towards the sofa. Yn obliged and sat down, with Jungkook settling in beside her. As Yn's gaze shifted towards the person in front of her, Jungkook introduced him.
"Yn, meet my uncle, Mr. Kai," Jungkook announced. Kai smiled at Yn, who reciprocated with a fake smile that thinly veiled her surprise.
Somi returned from the kitchen, presenting Yn with a glass of water. Yn graciously took the glass and sipped the water, all the while maintaining a composed demeanor. Kai, Jungkook's uncle, directed his attention toward Yn, inquiring, "So, you're Somi's boyfriend?"
Suppressing a surge of unpleasant memories, Yn managed a fake smile and nodded in response. Inside, . Yn clenched her fists, fighting to control the tumult of feelings threatening to burst forth.
As the conversation continued, suddenly, thunder roared outside, accompanied by heavy rain. Somi, concerned about the bad weather, urged Yn to stay a bit longer. "It's raining too much, and the climate is also bad. Oppa, stay here until the weather improves," Somi suggested, looking out for Yn's comfort. Yn, nodding in agreement, contemplated the idea of waiting until the storm passed, aware that the unexpected turn of events.
Jungkook's dad arrived from outside, visibly wet due to the heavy rain. The maid promptly handed him a towel as he settled on the sofa beside Kai, rubbing his hair dry. "Oh, Yn, surprise to see you here. Somi always talks about you, dear," Mr. Jeon remarked, his voice warm and welcoming. Yn responded with a smile, feeling a mix of surprise and politeness in the unexpected encounter. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Jeon," Yn replied, acknowledging the introduction with courtesy.
Mr. Jeon turned his attention to Kai, inquiring about progress in David's case. Kai, with a sad yet angry expression, shook his head, indicating that there hadn't been any breakthroughs. Trying to console Kai, Mr. Jeon reassured him, "It's okay. We will find out." He then stood up from the sofa, turning his gaze toward Yn.
"Yn, stay here for today. I don't think the weather will improve soon, and it's already night," Mr. Jeon suggested. With that, he made his way to his room. Somi, overjoyed by the unexpected turn of events, jumped around in happiness. Yn, too, felt a sense of satisfaction as she realized this unplanned stay would offer her an opportunity to learn more about Kai. A smirk played on her lips, anticipating the unraveling of more secrets and complexities in the house.
Somi, eager to show Yn her room, moved to grab his hand, but Jungkook intervened. "Yn will stay in my room," Jungkook declared, grabbing Yn's hand and leading her towards his room. Somi couldn't hide her disappointment, and a pout formed on her face.
Entering Jungkook's room, Yn took a moment to look around, noticing the black and white theme and the overall spaciousness, much larger than her own room. "You have a big house, and you don't have a guest room?" Yn remarked, expressing a bit of surprise.
Jungkook explained, "The guest room is taken by my uncle. He's been staying here for a few days because of his friend's sudden passing." Yn made an "oh" face, understanding the situation a bit better.
As Jungkook went to his closet, he retrieved a pair of his shirt and pants and handed them to Yn. "Go freshen up," he suggested, indicating for her to make herself comfortable.
Yn declined Jungkook's offer of a change of clothes, choosing to stay in her own attire. Instead, she walked towards the window, took out her phone, and called her father. Yn informed him about her decision to stay at Jungkook's home for the night. Meanwhile, Jungkook took the opportunity to have a warm shower.
Exiting the bathroom, Jungkook found Yn scrolling through her phone while sitting on his bed. "Let's go and have dinner," Jungkook suggested. They both headed downstairs towards the dining table.
During dinner, Yn couldn't resist her curiosity and decided to inquire about Kai's friend. "What happened to your friend, sir?" she asked. Kai looked at Yn and replied, "Ah, I don't know. Someone killed him, but I will find that person as soon as possible."
Yn, smirking inwardly, couldn't help but think, "I'm waiting, Mr. Jeon Kai." The revelation added another layer of intrigue to the already mysterious circumstances surrounding Kai and his friend's demise.
Jungkook silently observed Yn's reactions and inquiries about Kai's friend. Internally, he acknowledged that bringing Yn to his home had been part of his plan all along. The intricate web of relationships and the unfolding drama seemed to be orchestrated by Jungkook, leaving everyone in the house to grapple with the consequences of his carefully laid out scheme.
