"Please, sir, give me a chance to explain," Jungkook pleaded, his face pale and eyes wide with desperation.

Mr. Lee didn't allow him another word. His rage was a force of nature, uncontainable and fierce. He grabbed Jungkook by the collar, yanking him forward with a force that nearly lifted him off his feet, and then shoved him backward, slamming the door shut in his face.

The sound echoed through the house, a final, resounding declaration of Mr. Lee's fury and resolve. But Jungkook was undeterred. Panic and determination fueled him as he began to pound on the door with both fists, his shouts piercing the silence that had fallen in the wake of Mr. Lee's explosive anger.

"Please, sir! YN! Please let me in! Just give me a chance to explain!" Jungkook's voice was raw, a mixture of desperation and fear. Each knock, each shout was a plea for redemption, a chance to make things right.

Inside, Yn stood frozen, her heart torn between the past and present. She could hear the sincerity in Jungkook's voice, the pain that mirrored her own. But the wounds he had inflicted ran deep, and forgiveness was a distant, almost impossible notion.

"Appa," she whispered, her voice trembling. "What should we do?"

Mr. Lee, his chest heaving with barely controlled rage, turned to her. His eyes softened for a moment as he saw the conflict in her gaze, the silent plea for guidance.

"Princess," he said, his voice gentler now but still firm. "You don't owe him anything. He made his choices, and he has to live with the consequences."

"But, Appa, he sounds so... broken," Yn replied, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

Mr. Lee's expression hardened again. "People like him know how to play with emotions, how to manipulate and deceive. Don't let him fool you. He had his chance, and he blew it."

Outside, Jungkook continued his relentless assault on the door, each knock a testament to his desperation. "YN, please! Just one chance! I need to see my son! I need to make things right!"

The sound of his voice was like a dagger in Yn's heart. She took a step towards the door, then stopped, torn between the past's pain and the present's promise of closure.

"Please, Princess, don't open that door," Mr. Lee said softly, his eyes pleading with her to stay strong.

Yn closed her eyes, a single tear escaping and trailing down her cheek. She nodded slowly, her decision made, but her heart aching with the weight of it. She turned away from the door, leaving Jungkook's desperate pleas unanswered.

Jungkook's shouts grew fainter as he slowly realized the door would not open, the barrier between him and the family he had lost remaining firmly shut. Finally, defeated, he sank to his knees, his forehead resting against the cold, unyielding wood.

"Please," he whispered one last time, his voice breaking. But the only answer was the silence of a choice long made and the echoes of a past that could never be undone.

....................

Hours passed as Dyan woke up, blissfully unaware of the turmoil from the night before. Yn readied him for school while Mr. Lee prepared tiffin boxes for both Dyan and Yn. The morning routine was a fragile semblance of normalcy, a ritual that kept them grounded.

After getting Dyan dressed, Yn held his hand, his school bag in her other hand, and they made their way to the door. Mr. Lee followed them, ready to bid goodbye.

"Take your medicine properly, Appa," Yn said, her voice gentle but firm. Mr. Lee nodded in response.

"Bye-bye, Grandpa!" Dyan said cheerfully, waving at Mr. Lee.
