As Yn sat beside Dyan's sleeping form, a heavy weight settled in her chest, the memory of her actions in the office weighing heavily on her conscience. She gently brushed a strand of hair away from Dyan's forehead, her touch tender with remorse as she watched him sleep.
"I'm so sorry, Dyan," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I never meant to hurt you..."
The image of Dyan's tear-stained face haunted her thoughts, a stark reminder of the pain she had caused her son. She replayed the scene in her mind, the anguish in Dyan's voice as he cried out for his mother, his innocent pleas falling on deaf ears.
Tears welled up in Yn's eyes as she remembered the moment Dyan had burst into the meeting, his small frame trembling with emotion as he clung to her, seeking comfort in the midst of his distress. She had taken him into her office, hoping to calm his tears, but instead, he had poured out his heart to her, his words a heartbreaking testament to his longing for a father's love.
Yn listened as Dyan recounted the stories of his friends, their laughter and playtime with their fathers a painful reminder of what he was missing. With each word, her heart ached with guilt and regret, the weight of her actions crushing her with each passing moment.
And then, in a moment of overwhelming rage and frustration, Yn had lashed out, her hand connecting with Dyan's arms in a moment of blind fury. The sound of his cries had pierced her soul, leaving her consumed with guilt and shame.
"I'm so sorry, Dyan," Yn repeated, her voice choked with emotion as she pressed a gentle kiss to her son's forehead. "I promise, I'll do better... I'll be the mother you deserve."
As Dyan stirred in his sleep, a faint smile gracing her lips, Yn vowed to make amends for her mistakes, to rebuild the bond that had been fractured by her own hand. And as she watched over her sleeping son, she prayed for forgiveness and the strength to become the mother he needed her to be.
As Yn sat on the edge of her bed, her phone rang, interrupting her thoughts. With a small smile, she reached for her phone on the nightstand and answered the call.
"Oyee!" Yn greeted, her voice brightening at the sound of the familiar voice on the other end of the line.
"Heyy baby, how are you?" he replied, concern evident in his tone.
"I am perfectly fine," Yn reassured him, though she knew her words would be met with skepticism.
"Don't lie to me, uncle told me everything," he said, his voice tinged with seriousness.
"Oops, but now I am really fine," Yn insisted, trying to brush off her earlier distress.
"You don't have to worry about that jerk, dear. I wouldn't mind killing him too," he declared, his words laced with anger that sent a shiver down Yn's spine.
"No!" Yn exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of alarm and apprehension. "It's not like that..."
"Why? Do you still have feelings for that jerk?" he demanded, his tone growing more intense with each word.
"No, but it's just..." Yn faltered, struggling to find the right words to explain herself.
"Stop it, Yn! If he ever tries to come near you again, I swear I will kill him," he vowed, his protective instincts kicking into overdrive.
Yn sighed, knowing she wouldn't be able to dissuade him from his course of action. "Anyways, where is my baby boy?" he asked, his tone softening as he changed the subject.
"He's sleeping," Yn replied, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she thought of Dyan.
"Okay, and remember to control your anger, Yn. And be more patient with that kid before shouting at him," he advised, his concern for her evident in his words.
