"Can I just bite your cheeks? Its too cute." Kai bent his head towards me.
"Kai!" I hit his chest with my fist.
"What?" He chuckled as he caressed my arms. "Okay, okay. Just don't overwork your arm."
"Were you waiting for me there the whole time or were you just coincidentally there?" I stared at his face, admiring every perfect feature.
"Why would I wait for you?" Kai scoffed as he looked away.
"So you did wait for me." I beamed as I saw his blush. "Aw. You're so sweet."
"Am not." He cleared his throat. "We're here. Why is it so dark?"
"Ah, looks like mom is not going to come home tonight." I said as Kai put me down. "Thank you anyway."
"Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you?" Kai looked down at me.
"Positive." I grinned. "Could you just bend down a little please?"
Kai frowned at my request but he followed it anyway. I tiptoed slightly and kissed his forehead.
"Sorry. I don't have my heels. So, I can't really reach that high."
Kai could only blink blankly before he broke into a wide smile. He suddenly cupped my cheeks and came closer to my face, as if to kiss my lips. But I stopped him right in time as I placed my forefinger on his delicate lips.
"Next time, okay Kai?" I said as I saw disappointment on his face.
I kissed the tip of his nose before I entered my gate.
"Thank you again, Kai. Go home safely." I waved at him.
"You too. Rest well." He said before slouching as he walked away.
