Doctor Who S1 E8: Evolution Of Mankind Part 2

Chapter 2

Tower Of London, Unit Headquarters, London
As Kate with a unit solider came walking into The Doctor work room, that was one of the spare storage room that had been cleaned out for The Doctor to be able to work and she said "send out as many troops as you can Sam need our help and so do those people." The Unit Soldier said back "yes mam, we'll move out as soon as we're ready." After that the soldier quickly left the room and The Doctor said as he was working "did I hear you say Sam's name? How is he?" Kate quickly said back "he's find Doctor what are you doing?" He said "good, I'm glads to hear that. He went through quite an experience nearly getting taken over by a Krynoid." Kate said back "I agree but Doctor what are you doing?" "I a making something that will open a portal to void space." The Doctor as he used his sonic to connected his make shift fusion splitter and ionic power drive together and Kate said back with confusion "what's the void?" The Doctor then turn around and place his sonic inside his blazing before saying "it's the emptiness between universe that I'm going to open up to stop the Cybermen." Kate then said "I'm guessing what this device will do, open that space up." The Doctor said back "yeah once it's working, if I can get it work that is. The Cybermen have made the walls between the universe weak when they have breached over into our making this possible so, how is it looking out there?" Kate said back "not good Doctor, people are getting taken quicker then we can get them to safety, there are too many of them I don't how much longer we can hold them off." The Doctor just tensed his face and scratched the back of his head.

Osgood came bursting into the room once Kate said that saying "Kate we have a big problem." She quickly turned around and looked at her along with The Doctor before Osgood said "Cybermen are here." "Oh wait that's brilliant." The Doctor said as something clicked inside his head and both Osgood and Kate looked at him before Osgood said very confused "how is anything in this situation brilliant." "No you're absolute right there's nothing brilliant about this situation but have do we know where the Cybermen have been attacking?" The Doctor said back, Osgood said back "I can show you." The Doctor just said "show me now." After that they all quickly left the room and headed back to the main monitor space of unit headquarters.

Osgood quickly rushed over to one of the monitoring computers and as she said down on the chair she quickly brought up reports from all over London as The Doctor lent over her chair and said "show me what you've got Osgood." She said back to him "I have reports from all over the city of attacks on all major public services headquarters and stations." Kate said back "and where are they here?" Osgood then brought up CCTV cameras showing the Cybermen attacking the outer perimeter of The Tower Of London and Osgood said "troops have engaged Cybermen at the outer perimeter of The Tower." Kate said "we can't let them get in here we need to send as many troops as we can out there to hold them back." As they were discussing The Doctor hunch was clarified and he said "I was right." Kate quickly said back to him "right about what Doctor?" "the Cybermen are attack anything that could pose a threat to there invasion of Earth and once they have taken them out it will make everything easier, nothing standing in there way, they can just take everyone and this mean.." he then remembers that Sally and Larry went to police headquarters and before he knew it he said  in a panic "Osgood have the Cybermen attack the police headquarters yet?" She then quickly brought up all attack on police since the invasion and she quickly said back as she looked at him "yes they have." The Doctor then instantly turned and started running as Kate shouted "DOCTOR WHERE ARE YOU GOING!" But she didn't get a response back from as he left the room but before  she could go after him Osgood quickly said "Kate they broken though our forces, there coming in." She just looked at her before she reached out to the walki talki on the table and said "this is greyhound one to all troops inside the Tower. Cybermen have broken through the outer perimeter defence, they are coming this is a code red situation, everyone to battle stations."

The Doctor quickly sprinted back to The Tardis and pulled the key out as he ran up to the door, opened it up and shot inside The Tardis and quickly plotted a course for police headquarters as he took off.

Westminster, Metropolitan Headquarters, London
When The Tardis landed inside police headquarters The Doctor quickly came running out of The Tardis and saw that this whole place was a battle ground dead police officer everywhere along with a few Cybermen here and there. He quickly pulled his sonic out and started scanning for life signs and he quickly located some very faint signals and he quickly started following them. The Doctor made his way though all the rubble before he came across his first sign of life and it was what his sonic detected it was some Cybermen so he quickly took cover behind what reminded of a wall while the Cybermen carried out there search of the building to make sure they had taken everyone out that could cause them problems. One of The Cybermen then said "I only detected one human life form left in the building alive." The Other Cyberman said back "we have units searching the building for her." After The Doctor heard that he knew that they were going on about Sally and he quickly took a peak around the corner of the wall and saw that they were looking his way and The Doctor quickly started moving again.

As he followed the single on his sonic he quickly came across Larry and The Commissioner who were still unconscious under some rubble and The Doctor quickly rushed over to his and when he knelt down next to Larry he said "come on Larry don't do this to me." The Doctor then used his sonic to scan his body to see that he was still alive and he said "oh thank god, your going to be alright Larry." The Doctor then scanned The Commissioner but he wasn't so lucky and he just tensed his face and said "dam it, I'm so sorry that this happened to you." He then said back to the unconscious Larry "I'll be back for you Larry I promise but I need to find Sally before the Cybermen do." After that he started scanning for life signs again and quickly locating one and following it upstairs. As he walked down this hallway all of a sudden someone grabbed The Doctor and pulled him into one of the room and it turned out to be Sally. Once The Doctor saw her, he said as he put his sonic inside his blazer "Sally thank god you're alright." As he said that he pulled her in for a hug and once they were finished Sally said back to him "what the hell are you doing here?" "I'm here to you get you and Larry out of here before the Cybermen find you now come on we need to get out of here." The Doctor said as he grabbed Sally's hand but, they instantly stopped when they got out into the hallway as there was two Cybermen with their back facing them.
