Chapter 4

As soon as Sally figured it all out she quickly said "hang on a minute are you talking about you doing this?" The Doctor said back to her "Sally there is no other way, I'm the only one who can operate it. I have to do this." Sally shock her head and said "okay, okay, what's the risk of you making it out of this?" "Ermmm fifty fifty no actually more sixty forty I would say." The Doctor said back to her unconvincingly and Larry quickly said back to him is that in a sixty percent chance that you'll survive or is it the other way around." The Doctor said back "the other way around forty percent change that I'll survive not getting sucked into the Void with them." Sally said back to that "do you really think we're going to let you do this." The Doctor just said back "I'm sorry Sally but you don't have a choice here." Larry shock his head as he started walking towards him and said "I'm sorry Doctor but we do have a choice here we always have a choice and I agree with Sally here you don't have to do this because what if this doesn't work we're stuck here with a load of Cybermen while your stuck in the Void." "That won't happen Larry. Once the Cybermen figure out that is Unit moving the people they will send every single Cybermen to The Tower and that when I'll pulled them into the Void." The Doctor said. "There must be another way of stopping them, you sacrificing yourself can't be the only way to save the planet." Sally said in distress and before The Doctor could say anything Larry quickly said "there must be something else we can try before resorting to you know ripping another whole in the universe."

The Doctor then said as he started to get annoyed "the only other way was to destroy their ship before they got here and I failed in getting that done now millions of people have probably been converted into Cybermen so this is the only way I can save the rest of this planet and there is a good chance that before I can close the rift I get sucked in as well but there is a small chance that I won't and that's good enough for me." Sally and Larry both looked at each other before Larry said "then we're coming with you." The Doctor looked completely shocked when he said that but before he could say anything back Sally quickly said "if this is the only way to save our world then your not going to do this alone, we're going to make sure that you come out of this." He just looked at them both in complete shock and said "no it's too dangerous, way too dangerous I'm not putting you two in harms way, no chance." Sally just said "we know that this isn't going to be safe." "And that's our choice Doctor." Larry finished saying. The Doctor just looked at them both before he let this massive smile out and he just said "you are both just awesome, I mean truly awesome." Sally said back "we know Doctor, now let's save the world." "That's what I like to hear." The Doctor said back as he went shoot back up to The Tardis Console and pulled the leaver down to make The Tardis land inside Unit headquarters inside The Tower Of London.

As the three of them came rushing out of The Tardis they went straight into a war zone between unit soldiers and the Cybermen. Bullets were flying everywhere and when Sully saw them he shouted to them "YOU LOT NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE RIGHT NOW, WE'RE JUST ABOUT HOLDING THEM BACK!" The Doctor then said to Sally and Larry "you two need to move right now, I'll be right behind you." They both looked at him as The Doctor just nodded as he said to them both "go." After that they both ran off as more Cybermen gun fire came flying though hitting walls and some troops killing them, The Doctor quickly rushed over to the couple of troops that just got his and used his sonic to scan there body to find out that they were dead and The Doctor just said to them "I'm so sorry, I really am." After that he quickly got to his feet and rushed over to Sully while he dodge all the Cybermen fire and when he got to Sully The Doctor said "how long can you hold them back for?" Sully looked at The Doctor before he said "not long, there's too many of them." The Doctor said back "I need more time Sully, I need to finish this device so I can stop them once and for all." Sully quickly said back to them "then you better hurry Doctor me and my men will hold them off for as long as possible." The Doctor smiled at him before he said "thank you." He then quickly ran off.

As he went running back into spear storage room he was using to build his device Kate, Osgood, Sally and Larry were all standing in there and The Doctor quickly said "right team, yes that's right I have a team now, how are we getting on?" Osgood quickly said "the base is flooded with Cybermen and we are struggling to hold them off." The Doctor quickly said back "they're throwing everything they have a this base that means more Cybermen are on the way here right now." Kate said back to that "why are they throwing everything at us, there must be thousands of army bases and police station all over the world that they haven't dealt with?" "I was wrong Kate." The Doctor said. When he said this it completely shocked Kate and she said "I'm sorry did you just admit that you were wrong?" That's not something you see everyday." Sally and Larry both chuckled before The Doctor carried on saying "really Kate come on, cheap shot, cheap shot anyway, where was I. Oh yeah that it, I was wrong the Cybermen aren't attacking police station, army based and fire station to take out any threat to them it was to find who is evacuating the people so they can find where we're keeping everyone." Osgood said back that in a worried tone "but they've pushed us back." The Doctor just looked at Osgood all confused as Kate said "we don't have control of the operation room anymore it's been overrun by Cybermen." Sally quickly said as The Doctor started breathing more heavily "meaning that the Cybermen are able to find all the bunkers through out the world." The Doctor then quickly turned around and started running out of the room and Sally quickly started trying to go after him but Larry quickly pulled her back and said "no Sally it's too dangerous." "We can't let him go out there alone it's full of Cybermen." Sally said back in a panic. Larry nodded his head and said "he won't be alone I'm going to go after him but you need to stay here." Sally said back "no way am I staying here with you two putting your lives on the line." "Sally please, we might need someone to come and save us so please let me go after him." Larry said back to her and she just looked at him for a couple of seconds before she said "find but you two better come back alive." "Promise." Larry said back just before he ran out of the room.
