Midnight Rain || Soonwoo

Soonyoung groaned as he stirred from his sleep. He opened his eyes and adjusted to the surrounding. It was unfamiliar and not too dark but not too bright either. He tried to move his hands, which were cuffered on the edges of the bed

"What the fuck?..."

Soonyoung whispered as he struggled to get out of the cuffs. The door opened, making Soonyoung's head snap towards the sound as a man wearing white coat appeared. He froze as realization hit him really hard. His body started to shake in fear as memories of the past started flooding back to him

"Awww we meet again Soonie!"

The man exclaimed, making Soonyoung's face scrunch in disgust and fear

"Where is Wonwoo?!"

Soonyoung exclaimed as he doesn't remember what happened after he got the news that Wonwoo's other personality had taken over so he guessed that his own other personality had taken over him

"Jeon Wonwoo? That guy is there."

The man stated as he pulled open the curtain which divided the room into two

"Wonwoo?! Wonwoo! Get up!"

Soonyoung exclaimed as he turned around to see Wonwoo cuffed on the bed just like how he was

"Be patient my darling. He will be waking up soon."

The man stated with a smirk as Soonyoung's eyes watered. He screamed and shouted for Wonwoo even more. Wonwoo could hear Soonyoung's cries for him and that's what woke him up from his dreamland. He looked around, adjusting to the surrounding and without his glasses he couldn't see clearly but he could see Soonyoung's blurry figure lying on the bed like he was and he could make it out that he was restrained from moving. Wonwoo tried to move his hands but failed and struggled even more

"Soonyoung! Calm down! I am here! I can't see you properly but you can see me clearly right?!"

Wonwoo shouted, making Soonyoung's shouts and cries for him stop. But then Soonyoung started crying and wailing at another figure to let him and Wonwoo go. Wonwoo heard the man laugh, making him confused and angry at the same time

"Who are you?!"

Wonwoo shouted at the man, who laughed even harder while Soonyoung's cries became even louder

"You can say that I was his therapist 2 years ago."

The man stated as Wonwoo clenched his jaws tightly. With the way Soonyoung was crying, Wonwoo could make out that something bad happened between the man and Soonyoung

"Don't come near him."

Wonwoo warned as the man chuckled and walked closer towards Soonyoung, making his shouts and wails turn into screams of fear

"Don't go near him! Stop right there!"

Wonwoo shouted but the man didn't stop as Soonyoung closed his eyes and screamed his loudest scream. He opened his eyes and sat up straight while breathing heavily. Jihoon rushed over to him followed by the others behind him. Soonyoung looked around to see worried faces of his schoolmates and teachers. He looked around everywhere for Wonwoo and spotted him on a stretcher next to him

"Soons?! Are you alright?!"

Junhui asked as Soonyoung started hyperventilating. He was having a hard time breathing because of what he saw in the duration he was unconsious

"Soonie! Breathe with me in the count of 3, 2, 1."

Jihoon instructed as Soonyoung tried listening to him but the only thing he thought about was Wonwoo

"W-Wonwoo... N-No... P-Please don't send us to the psychiatric clinic p-please..."

Soonyoung started crying as his breathing became even more unstable. Junhui looked towards Wonwoo, who seemed to be waking up

"Wonwoo! Wake up!"

Junhui shouted as Wonwoo started waking up even more as he sat up slowly and looked around. He blinked and tried to look for his glasses, which Mingyu quickly handed to him as he put it on and turned towards his right to see Soonyoung having a panic attack

"Soonyoung?"

Wonwoo asked as Jihoon snapped his head towards Wonwoo with a pleading face

"H-He is having a panic attack. P-Please help."

Jihoon stated as Wonwoo slowly stood up and walked carefully to avoid falling and sat next to Soonyoung

"Soonyoung? Calm down. What happened?"

Wonwoo asked as Soonyoung turned to his left and saw Wonwoo. He immediately engulfed him in a tight hug and continued crying on his shoulder. Wonwoo sighed and hugged him back. He played with Soonyoung's hair gently while his other hand drew circles on Soonyoung's back which did help Soonyoung calm down after a while

"Now tell me, what or who made you cry?"

Wonwoo asked calmly as Soonyoung started tearing up again. Wonwoo sighed again and decided to tell him that it's okay but Soonyoung started to speak

"I-I saw t-the two of us in a psychiatric clinic with m-m-my psychiatrist..."

Soonyoung explained as Wonwoo hugged him tightly to reassure that nothing will happen to him

"But we are here right? We both are fine aren't we? And forget that bad dream. I will always be with you in your heart. I won't be able to stay long because my other personality, aka Wonwoo, will take over me soon."

Wonwoo stated as Soonyoung continued to cry in his arms before he finally calmed down properly and let Wonwoo go

"I-I guess this is it for us? I-I can't change you like y-you changed me. I-I never will be you."

Soonyoung stated as it hurt him as well as Wonwoo but was there anything they could do?

"Don't give up Soonyoungie. Start fresh again. You will reach there. But take a break for now. We both need it after all the chaos we both caused here."

Wonwoo stated with a small smile as Soonyoung laughed a bit. Wonwoo helped Soonyoung stand up and walk with him to the principal, who was watching their interaction with a small smile

"We both would like to apologize for causing a very huge trouble to the school and you sir."

Both of them said at the same time as they were worried that the headmaster wouldn't forgive them but they were wrong

"It's okay Mr. Jeon and Mr. Kwon. You both are mentally unstable. You both can live with one of your respective friend's place. You have a choice of taking online classes too."

The principal stated as Soonyoung and Wonwoo felt lucky to have a really understanding principal

"I will stay at Seungcheol hyung's place and take online classes if he gives the permission."

Wonwoo spoke as he hesitantly looked at Seungcheol's direction, who gave him a thumbs up while Soonyoung smiled a bit

"I will stay with Han hyung and Shua hyung. Both share an apartment anyways. And I would like to request for some days leave for all the students to recover from what we both did."

Soonyoung stated while bowing to the principal as Wonwoo bowed too. The principal smiled at Soonyoung's kindness and nodded

"You all will be given 3 days off. Recover well all of you."

The principal announced as Soonyoung and Wonwoo smiled while looking at each other

"We all can do this together Soonyoungie. Fighting."

Wonwoo whispered in Soonyoung's ears as Soonyoung smiled widely and nodded happily
