Midnight Rain || Soonwoo

Wonwoo was afraid to contact his father but he didn't have a choice either. He pulled out his phone and stared at his father's number before calling him

"Hello, sir?"

"Yes Wonwoo?"

"My friends are asking what the next step is, sir."

"Where are you all going to?"

"Daegu sir."

"Okay. How much fuel do you have?"

"Eight said that the fuel will last for only an hour, sir."

"Where will you put the fuel from?"

"One of Seokmin and Mingyu's friend will deliver it to us, sir."

"Okay. Where are you staying?"

"At one of the hotels in Daegu, sir. Lady Wen will book a hotel for us, sir."

"Okay. Wonwoo, can you listen to what I say, my son?"

Wonwoo froze. He didn't know how to react to what his father just called him. He didn't speak at all for some minutes, making his father worried

"Wonwoo? Did something happen?"

"N-Nothing sir. What do you need to tell me sir?"

"Please say abeoji once. Please."

Wonwoo felt different emotions run throughout his body. He always called his father 'sir' from a very young age. It was as a joke at first but as he continued growing up, he got scared of his father so he never stopped calling him 'sir'

"A-Abeoji?"

"That's my good boy. From now on you will call me that."

This made Wonwoo tear up. He looked down to hide his tears while muffling his cries by covering his mouth with the back of his hand. He felt overwhelmed

"Son? What's wrong?"

Mr. Jeon asked even if he knew what was wrong. He knew that Wonwoo was crying. He knew that his eldest son was in so much pain yet he didn't do anything. He knew that Wonwoo was crying because of him

"S-Sorry si- I mean a-abeoji... I was going upstairs to talk to you all alone."

Wonwoo lied while wiping his tears away as he muted for a while to calm himself down. He unmuted to continue speaking with his father

"Well the next step you will be taking is this. Once you fuel the bus, leave immediately. Hopefully my business partner's son, Kim Seokjin, has hacked into the GPS of the bus and messed up its locations. Take that friend who brings you the fuel with you all too. It's not safe. No matter what, once you get to the hotel, don't leave. I will talk to Lady Wen about this once."

Mr. Jeon stated as Wonwoo hummed as a response

"Well take care son. Tell the same thing to Kook and your friends as well as Uji, Kyeom and Dino. And sorry for not being a good father to you for the past 17 years."

Mr. Jeon stated as Wonwoo let out another hum before hanging up. He burst out crying once the call ended, surprising and worrying the rest in the bus

"Won? What happened?"

Soonyoung asked worriedly as Jungkook, Chan and Samuel looked over at Wonwoo crying at the back of the bus

"I-It's nothing."

Wonwoo whispered as he wiped his tears away, which was of no use because more tears fell, making him frustrated

"Why can't I stop crying?! Why won't these stupid tears stop?!"

Wonwoo shouted in frustration as he wiped away the tears falling harshly, getting frustrated that the tears won't stop at all

"Wonwoo! Stop!"

Jihoon exclaimed as he tried grabbing Wonwoo's hand but it slipped away everytime he got ahold of it

"Won! Stop! You are hurting your eyes!"

Soonyoung exclaimed as he tried to help Jihoon but it was not helping at all. That's when Junhui stepped in and held Wonwoo's body from moving, allowing Jihoon and Soonyoung to get hold of one hand each

"Let go! I want these tears to stop!"

Wonwoo exclaimed as he tried to get out of their grip but the three of them didn't dare to move one bit, making Wonwoo cry even more

"Let yourself cry. It's okay."

Jihoon stated as he too had tears in his eyes which he didn't notice

"I-I don't want to be w-weak..."

Wonwoo whispered while crying as hearing these words from Wonwoo hurt them. Jungkook hugged Seungkwan tightly and cried together with him while Chan and Vernon tried to comfort them

"Crying doesn't make you weak, Wonwoo. It makes you stronger. It's fine to let it out sometimes."

Jeonghan stated with a sad smile as he patted Wonwoo's head gently. Wonwoo just helplessly cried as Jihoon let go off his hand and hugged him tightly

"You are strong Wonwoo. That's why you are crying right now. You have carried too much. It's okay to take a break sometimes. It's okay to cry."

Jihoon stated as tears rolled down his cheeks. He realized that he was crying but he didn't care

"And we all are here now. So don't carry too much of your burden. Share how you feel with us and let us help you carry these weights off from you."

Junhui stated with a smile as he let go off Wonwoo. Soonyoung too let go off Wonwoo's other hand as Wonwoo hugged Jihoon tightly

"I-I am sorry U-Uji... I-I hurt you so much."

Wonwoo stated in between his cries as Jihoon shook his head

"I-It's okay... Y-You didn't m-mean to do it..."

Jihoon stated as the two of them cried in each other's embrace. Soon Seokmin, Chan and Jungkook joined them as the 5 of them cried together

"Yah! Don't cry! You are making us cry too!"

Minghao exclaimed as Samuel nodded in agreement. Joshua was going to drive as Minghao was tired now

"Let's get some sleep. The ones who didn't eat can eat. I don't feel like eating. Dino please do the honours and contact Changbin. Hurry."

Minghao stated as he plopped down on one of the seats and stared at the siblings with a faint smile

Thank god things are fine between these five now.

So sorry for not updating yesterday. I hadn't finished writing the chapter and I was tired after walking for like an hour to get to my hotel lol
