Kirra awoke at half-past five the next morning. Mattheo's arm was wrapped tightly around her waist, his head buried in her neck. She smiled softly at the feeling of his warm breath fanning against her skin, the hairs on the bottom of her neck standing up.

For a few moments she lay immobile, wanting to just enjoy the feeling of her lovers arms wrapped around her, but she knew that she had to get up. Today was the day of Harry's trial and she had told him that she would go with him to support him.

She carefully pulled herself out of Mattheo's grip, making sure to not wake Mattheo up. A small groan fell from his lips as he tried to pull her up against him, but she managed to slip out, her small frame working to her advantage for once.

She stood up, walking over to her drawers to grab some clothes, quickly pulling them over her body and then slipping on some shows and socks. She softly walked back over to the bed, her green eyes finally brightening a little as they land on Mattheo. Mattheo was lying on his side, his arms wrapped tightly around Kirra's pillow with his head snuggled into it, fast asleep.

He did not stir as Kirra crossed the room, stepped out onto the landing, and closed the door softly behind her. Kirra walked quietly down the stairs, past the heads of Kreacher's ancestors, and into the kitchen.

She had expected it to be empty, but it was not. When she reached the door she heard the soft rumble of voices on the other side and when she pushed it open she saw Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Sirius, Lupin, Tonks, and Harry sitting there.

All were fully dressed except Mrs. Weasley, who was wearing a quilted, purple dressing gown. Molly gave Kirra a small smile, nodding her head in Kirra's direction. "Breakfast," she said as she pulled out her wand and hurried over to the fire.

"M-m-morning, Kirra," yawned Tonks. Her hair was blonde and curly this morning. "Sleep all right?"

"Yeah," said Kirra, a small smile tugging onto the corner of her lips as she remembered Mattheo's face smushed into the pillow.

"I've b-b-been up all night," she said, with another shuddering yawn. "Come and sit down. . . ."

She drew out a chair, knocking over the one beside it in the process. "What do you want, Emily?" Mrs. Weasley called. "Porridge? Muffins? Kippers? Bacon and eggs? Toast?"

"Just — just toast, thanks," said Kirra.

Lupin glanced at Kirra, then said to Tonks, "What were you saying about Scrimgeour?"

"Oh . . . yeah . . . well, we need to be a bit more careful, he's been asking Kingsley and me funny questions. . . ."

Kirra sat down next to Tonks and looked over at Harry who was also eating toast, though he looked oddly pale and hadnt eaten much of his food. Mrs. Weasley sat down on his other side and started fussing with his T-shirt, tucking in the label and smoothing out creases across the shoulders. He wished she wouldn't.

Kirra just gave her brother a small comforting smile

". . . and I'll have to tell Dumbledore I can't do night duty tomorrow, I'm just t-t-too tired," Tonks finished, yawning hugely again.

"I'll cover for you," said Mr. Weasley. "I'm okay, I've got a report to finish anyway. . . ."

Kirra turned from Tonks to Harry.

"How are you feeling?"

Harry shrugged.

"It'll all be over soon," Kirra said bracingly, trying her best to offer her brother some support. "In a few hours' time you'll be cleared."

Harry said nothing.

Arthur Weasley spoke up, nodding his head and turning to Harry. "The hearing's on my floor, in Amelia Bones's office. She's Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and she's the one who'll be questioning you."
