Jimin looked around Jackson's studio apartment in Seoul, a mix of excitement and worry in his eyes. He couldn't help but think about Hoseok and the recent events.

He picked up his phone to call his friend.

"Hobi?"

"Hey Jimin"

"How's it?", Jimin asked knowing Hoseok's answer very well.

"I'll survive."

"Hobi, I know you are angry with me but..."

"I am not angry Mochi just disappointed. I feel I have failed everybody...you, my brother, Jungkook."

"No, Hobi you didn't do anything. Jus...", Jimin took a deep breath. He cannot tell Hoseok that it was all Jackson's plan. "Just I need sometime...some space from everything."

"Why don't you tell me the truth Mochi? That I am a burden."

Jimin sighed, "Hobi, YOU. ARE. NOT. A. BURDEN. You are my best friend but trust me I need some time to sort things out. I will come get you once I am done. I've gotta go. Sorry. Just stay with Jin for a few days and sort things with your brother. He loves you and misses you." I am sorry. I wish I could tell you the real reason but I can't, Jimin thought to himself as he hung up the phone.

"How did it go?", Jimin turned to the voice. It was Jackson.

"What do you think? He thinks I ousted him. That he is a burden."

"Sorry Jimin but that's exactly why I didn't want you to be part of this." Jackson said honestly. He felt bad creating an unnecessary rift but he yielded to Jimin's stubbornness.

"No, Jackson. I will tell Hobi the truth once it all comes out but right now I just want to find Y/N's killer." Jimin gritted his teeth.

"Well then you are in for a surprise coz I have something to tell you." Jackson revealed what they found out.

"Brian? As in Brian who drugged Jin? How's he connected to all of this?"

"That's what we need answers for, Jimin", Jackson said as he continued, "Wait, there is more."

"What?"

"Y/N is alive."

"What? That's great. So we need to find her. But wait..how do you know?"
"We took Mr and Mrs Kim's DNA test as well. It doesn't match the body in the morgue." Jackson revealed.

"This means Y/N is alive. Oh thank god. So let's find her", Jimin said excitedly.

"Let's find Brian. Maybe he knows where Y/N is." Jackson said planning his next move. Jimin nodded. They stayed like that for few minutes before Jimin asked.

"So, what made you a cop?" Jackson looked at Jimin sadness etched on his face.

Jackson's revelation about his brother's tragic fate hung heavy in the air, and Jimin couldn't help but feel a deep sympathy for his friend.

Jackson's brother, Ha-ru, had died as a cop in his undercover work in Ansan. He had been shot in the chest by a drug dealer, and had bled to death before anyone could help him. Since he was undercover, they couldn't identify him. He was kept in a hospital for a few days before being sent to a medical college. One of Jackson's friends, who worked as a nurse, had found him and recognized him. Only then did Jackson know what had happened to his brother. Jackson and Jimin sat there for a while. He felt numb and empty, as if a part of him had been ripped away.
