"Do you love Jimin?"

The question shook Jin from his thoughts. They were lying in bed in Yoongi's apartment. Jin got up. "Why...what are you talking about Yoongs?"

"Do you?", Yoongi asked again.

Jin kept quiet. Honestly, he didn't know. "Jin, be honest. Do you love Jimin?"

"No. I don't."

"Then why the possessiveness towards Jimin?"

Jin understood he couldn't deceive Yoongi. Yoongi had an uncanny ability to read people like an open book. "Yoongi, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Jimin. At first, he was just Hoseok's friend, but somewhere along the way, he became my friend too. Then, Hoseok told me about Jimin's difficult past - his parents' divorce, their remarriages, Jimin had only few people who truly cared about him - Jungkook and Gguk hyung. They've always looked out for him. When I heard that, I felt a connection with him, a desire to protect him. He's the kind of friend who's always been there for everyone. Jimin always wore a smile, never showing his vulnerable side. But on that day... he seemed so alone. I just want him to be safe."

"But Jin, don't you think his friends should also protect him?" Yoongi asked as he continued. "Jinnie, you need to realize he's an adult. I understand that everyone wants to protect him, and I appreciate it. I'm fine with you being friends with him, looking out for him when you can... as long as that's where it ends. Remember, we're also building our own life together. I'll understand if you want Jimin to be a part of it, but as a friend," Yoongi stated as a matter of factly.

"Yoongi, I love you. Believe me, there's nothing romantic between Jimin and me. I love you... I always have, and I always will," Jin cupped Yoongi's face and sealed his words with a sweet kiss.

Yoongi smiled as he held Jin's hands within his. "Jin, don't confuse sympathy with love. What you feel for Jimin is sympathy, because you have been alone too, especially when you were vulnerable. But now you have me and that I will never let you be alone....ever."

"I know Yoongi. I am sorry. I...just didn't know you felt so neglected", Jin said.

"I didn't feel neglected Jin. I just felt you were drifting apart from me. I felt I will lose you again", Yoongi said sadly, his eyes brimming with tears.

"No. Yoongi..never. you will never lose me", Jin said his heart aching at the man's confession. He felt his heart will explode. He hugged Yoongi tightly as Yoongi buried his head in Jin's neck sobbing quietly.

He pulled himself out of Jin's hug and looked in Jin's eyes. "You know how much I love you Jin...but if there ever comes a time when you feel you don't love me anymore, promise me that you will let me know, okay. I'd rather have your straightforward honesty than betrayal. Can you promise me that level of respect?", Yoongi said sadly.

Jin's eyes welled up in guilt. Maybe becoming protective of Jimin made Yoongi uncomfortable and neglected. "Baby I am so sorry. I didn't mean to neglect you. I will never leave you...ever. I will never make you feel alone...I love you so much." He peppered kisses on Yoongi's face making the man chuckle in between tears.

"Okay okay, Jin I believe you." Yoongi smiled as he kissed Jin on the forehead. Jin missed this touch, the way Yoongi held him. An intense emotion surged within him. He looked at Yoongi seriously with intense passion unconsciously licking his lips. Without waiting for a second, he kissed Yoongi on the mouth passionately. His tongue slided through Yoongi's lips asking for entrance which Yoongi gave him happily. Jin pulled Yoongi towards him letting his tongue taste every inch of Yoongi's mouth. He had waited long enough for Yoongi. The pain, the love, the loneliness, the happiness when Yoongi said those three words. He felt he had waited an eternity for the man.
