The next morning, Jungkook stirred in his bed, slowly opening his eyes to the gentle light streaming in through the blinds. He reached for his phone, jolting at the sight of the 50 unread messages. All of them were from Gguk. "Oh, crap."
He realized he had completely forgotten to inform his brother about their impromptu trip. Jungkook quickly sent a voice note, trying to explain the situation.
Gguk had messaged him, concerned, "Kook, where are you? I've been worried sick. Is everything okay?"
Meanwhile, Gguk paced back and forth in the house, his mind racing with various possibilities. Where were Kook and Hoseok? His concern was quickly spiraling into a whirlwind of thoughts. He even contacted his secretary, only to learn that Jungkook hadn't shown up at the office and had taken the day off.
Gguk's worries escalated as his secretary overheard Jimin and the others giggling about Kook and Hoseok's impromptu honeymoon. The news hit him like a punch in the gut. He had meticulously planned to spend time with Hoseok, hoping to rekindle their closeness, but it seemed his plan had crumbled. He struggled to control the storm of emotions raging within him. It was a clash between the brother who wanted the best for Jungkook and the man who couldn't bear the thought of someone else claiming Hoseok's attention. It was a battle of love and possessiveness, a collision of his longing for connection and his fear of losing the person who meant so much to him.
Back on the road, Jungkook was driving with a determination bordering on recklessness, causing Hoseok to grip onto the seat with white knuckles. Hoseok was shouting as Kook's car went barrelling down the road, "Kookie, calm down! You're going to get us killed."
Jungkook's grip on the steering wheel tightened, and he glanced at Hoseok with a mix of frustration and guilt. He grumbled, "I forgot to tell Hyung about this. Damn it."
Hoseok raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "Why are you so worried about Gguk's reaction?"
Jungkook's lips pressed into a thin line, his frustration evident. "I'm not scared. It's just... Gguk will feel left out."
Hoseok looked at him with a mixture of understanding and concern. "Left out? Its not like you forgot to invite him for a dinner. It was our honeymoon. Impromptu though. Kookie, he's your brother. He'll understand. Don't worry, I will talk to him."
Jungkook nodded, his gaze focused on the road ahead, but still lost in his own thoughts.
**************
Jungkook's voice quivered with sincere regret as he began to apologize, but before he could finish, Hoseok interjected with a touch of hesitation. "Hyung, it's my fault. My shooting got canceled, so I asked Kook if we could just... have a relaxing day out."
Hoseok's cheeks turned a light shade of pink, his gaze shifting from Jungkook to Gguk. There was something about Gguk's presence that made him feel a bit more self-conscious. "We're really sorry, hyung."
In a small gesture of sincerity, Hoseok reached out and gently took Gguk's hands in his own. Their eyes met, a silent apology and plea for understanding shared between them. Gguk, however, felt an unexpected jolt of something he couldn't quite describe when Hoseok's hands touched his own. The sensation was unfamiliar but not unwelcome. Warmth spread from the point of contact, suffusing through him and rendering him momentarily immobilized. Hoseok's touch was delicate and comforting, his hands a stark contrast to Gguk's own rougher palms.
Gguk's heart raced as he felt a warmth, both physical and emotional, emanating from the touch. With an effort, Gguk managed to release his hands from Hoseok's gentle grasp, mustering a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.
