"Can you just tell me where we're going?"
"Come on, it's not that much farther."
To Muzan it felt like Yoriichi had been dragging him around for hours even though it was only around ten minutes. Yoriichi seemed to know exactly where he was going which only made Muzan all the more curious. Maybe Yoriichi was leading him to the middle of the field where the sun would come up and Muzan would suffer a slow and horrible death. But that was just Muzan's theory... Yoriichi seemed to be getting nicer and more open to Muzan as time went on though, Muzan always saw the man as a threat that had to be dealt with quickly but now... he was starting to enjoy being around him as well. Yoriichi suddenly stopped and Muzan lightly bumped into him, he was so zoned out he didn't even realize he was alive.
"We're here."
Muzan looked at the area his soulmate had brought him to and his eyes shone with awe. It was a giant field of red spider lilies, and a trail with a stone path that led to a bench in the middle of the field. It was definitely intentional and looked like some kind of romantic place... knowing this Muzan couldn't help but blush, it was more the fact Yoriichi trusted his soulmate to bring him to such a place of beauty. Yoriichi grabbed Muzan's sleeve again and led him to the bench where he pushed him down lightly before accompanying him.
"So..." Yoriichi rubbed the back of his head, not really being able to read Muzan's facial expressions all that well. "Do you like it?"
"H-Huh?" Muzan flinched and looked at Yoriichi, he was too busy looking at all the flowers. "Oh, it's alright."
Yoriichi couldn't help but let a playful smirk form on his lips, even a sandwich could see how happy Muzan was with this place. Feeling a sense of pleasure from making his soulmate happy for once washed over him. It was the first time in a while Yoriichi could just be happy without thinking about other things. Muzan was definitely someone interesting to be around, but it just made Yoriichi's acts of love more special in a way he couldn't explain. Yoriichi leaned down and plucked a flower from the ground before turning to Muzan and handing it to him. Muzan looked at it confused and he raised an eyebrow.
"No thanks, I prefer them blue."
"There's blue ones?" Yoriichi shook his head and insisted on Muzan taking the flower. "Just take it, it's kind of a tradition here."
Muzan looked surprised. "Tradition?"
"Yeah, people take their soulmates here and give them a flower."
"That's kind of silly." Muzan narrowed his eyes before snatching the flower from Yoriichi and putting it in his lap. "Thanks, but remember we still aren't lovers."
"Of course."
Yoriichi couldn't help his feelings, he thought the fact Muzan didn't want to show any kind of love was cute. Yoriichi tried reminding himself his soulmate is a murderer that has killed and ruined the lives of thousands... that put a pain through Yoriichi's heart. As much as he always dreamed of his soulmate as a child he knew now all his dreams were practically crushed. And deep down Yoriichi knows nobody could replace Uta... but he didn't need a replacement, Uta is Uta... and Muzan is Muzan... everyone is different. Yoriichi looked back at Muzan, the man was looking down at the red flower in his lap, his black curls swaying in the wind subtly. Yoriichi felt his heart melt and piece itself back together. He was falling for the demon, he really was.
