Falling In Love

It starts as a whisper, a flutter of the heart
A feeling so new, it's hard to tell apart
From the rush of the wind, or the warmth of the sun
But soon it grows stronger, until it can't be undone

It's the way they smile, or the sound of their laugh
The way they move, or the way they stand tall and steadfast
It's the way they look at you, with eyes full of wonder
And suddenly, you're falling, like lightning and thunder

Your heart beats faster, and your palms start to sweat
You're dizzy and breathless, and you haven't felt this yet
You want to be near them, to feel their touch
To hear their voice, and to love them so much

It's a feeling so pure, so raw and so true
It's like nothing else matters, except for you two
You're lost in the moment, and you don't want to leave
You're falling in love, and it's hard to believe

But as time goes on, and your love starts to grow
You realize that falling was just the start of the show
It's the journey that matters, the ups and the downs
The moments you share, and the love that surrounds

So hold on tight, to the one you adore
And know that falling in love is just the beginning, nothing more
For the journey ahead, is where true love lies
And falling was just the start, of the greatest surprise.
