as I looked at my outfit in the mirror, I was having second thoughts if I was showing too much of my skin
I kept my eyes on my legs and the short skirt I was wearing. I took a deep breath and decided to wear it for tonight's concert
I was wearing my short white skirt, a white top, and my grey jacket. I grabbed my tiny black backpack and put on my sneakers.
When I was spraying my perfume around me, someone knocked on the door and opened it, Kate walked in wearing cool makeup and her outfit. She looked up and down at my outfit and smiles
" look at you! Cuter than everyone else! " she compliments, I giggled and put back my things in the drawer, as I turned to her
" you look super cool tonight! " I said. Girls this year love fashion and clothes
Anything to have lower-waist jeans and tops, makeup and hairstyles, it everything for the girls and I agree. But what Kate and Catherine always tell me is that my style is far more different than these fashions, I didn't mind.
I was happy and comfortable wearing the clothes I had, but it also made girls ask me why I chose to wear different clothing
" come on! I'll call Mom so she can take a picture of us! " Kate says excitedly and I nod
when Catherine walks in, she grins at us and complimented our looks. Kate gave her the camera and rushed beside me, I stood next close to her and smiled
" 3...2...1! "
the white light flashed as Kate thanked her mom and looked at our picture, but we heard a honk, coming from the outside to see the familiar white car parked in the street
"All alright your Uncle Steven is here to give you a ride! let's go! " Catherine says and the three of us leave my room and head downstairs.
I watched as Kate said goodbye to her mom and walked out of the house, i smiled and gave her a hug
" have fun sweetie! And if anything happens, call me immediately, are we clear? " She says cupping my both cheeks, I giggle and nod
" of course, enjoy your night too! " I said as she placed a kiss on my cheek
while walking towards the white car, Uncle Steven waits outside and smiles when he sees me. he gave me a warm hug and opened the door as I sat beside Kate and we left the neighborhood.
After a few minutes of driving, we arrived at the city.
Los Angeles's nights have always been alive, the streets we're never empty, and the lights are always open, i watch outside the window as drunk people walk out from the club and laugh around.
"Are you alright Addie? You seem quiet. "
I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Kate ask me, I turned to her as she was holding a small mirror in her hand while applying lipstick to her lips
"I'm just a little nervous about tonight " I replied
she put her things back in her bag and gently held my hand like she always does to calm my nerves
" everything's gonna be fine, I swear. ill not gonna leave your side, and im gonna make sure you'll enjoy your time tonight with me " Kate explains, i trust her words and listened
when we arrived at the place, there were already a bunch of people outside.
We said goodbye to Uncle Steven and when I walked out of the car, the mixed smell of smoke and alcohol filled my nostrils, I scrunched my face at the disgusting smell. I never liked those cancer sticks
my eyes trailed to a bunch of girls walking to the entrance, they were mostly wearing skirts too, revealing tops, and smokey eyes, the same thing that Kate wanted.
Speaking of Kate, she kept her word and walked beside me, taking me with her to the entrance, and waited for a couple of minutes before the guard finally let us in
the loud music fills the place, I laugh when Kate shouts in excitement when we get in
" fuck I can't wait to see them! " She screamed at me since we couldn't hear each other because of the music
we both walked around the place and I noticed more of the fans were females than males
but I didn't mind, when I and Kate settled to a spot, I looked at the stage and a few employees were testing out the instruments
and it seemed the concert was almost starting, making everyone start screaming in excitement
suddenly I felt something buzzing inside my bag, i took out my phone and saw who was calling me
'Enzo'
I felt happiness wash over me when I saw who was calling me, I tapped Kate making her look at me and I showed her my phone
" yeah alright! But me back immediately! " I almost couldn't hear her voice but I nodded and made my way out through the crowds
I bit my lip as I had to be squished between people.
When I finally made it to the back, the music was no longer much loud in that part of the place, I picked up the call and decided to walk inside a place
" Энцо! вы назвали! " I spoke in Russian, it seemed the place was part of the backstage and it was a relief when there was not much staff or employees around (Enzo! You called!)
" yes princess, sorry I haven't called. здесь дела пошли напряженнее " the thick Russian voice of a man spoke in the other line. But the smile on my face remains (things got more busier here)
"how's your life there in America, hm? " he asks. I crossed my one arm on my chest and slowly took steps in the empty hallway
" Good, Я продолжаю ходить в среднюю школу, и, судя по всему, мы с Кейт сейчас идем на концерт " I replied as I heard him hummed
(I've continued going to high school, and apparently, Kate and I are attending a concert right now)
"I'm glad to hear you finally letting yourself go out again. That's great " Enzo says. I decided to take a deep breath and stop in my tracks
