. . .

It was the afternoon, a few days before she went to Dream Island Academy. Her little group of friends were happily eating lunch in the classroom. That day, her newly transferred friend was forcefully sent to the remedial program, not a big problem for the group, but a bummer for sure. While talking about new rumors, gossiping and all that "girl talk", the topic of the student council comes up.

"You know, Liy. You might become our student council president if you get more good grades!" A grey-haired friend happily suggested. "Yeah! You're one of the smartest students here! Give it a shot." Another light purple-haired friend agreed, taking in a spoonful of her lunch. Liy thought for a moment, was it really worth her time? Sure, she would gain many benefits for being the council president. But, is it really a good thing? She's already in the student council, why would she shoot for the highest spot?

"I don't know, guys..." She awkwardly shook her head, chuckling quietly. "I don't make that good of an impact, plus my grades aren't even that good, or bad. I just got in because I made a good speech." She continued to eat her food. Tensing up at the feeling of her friends staring at her. "Or maybe it's because you're pretty..." One friend whispered, at a level that everyone can hear.

"Come oooooooonn! If you get the position, you can at least get us out of trouble! Even convince the teachers to let Pillow out of the remedial courses!" A friend clasped her hands together, pleading to Liy.
"Naily, if Liy gets caught doing that, she'll get kicked out of the council gang. And that's no good." A beige-haired friend slapped the former on the arm.

"Say, you're going to Dream Island in a few days, right?" The light purple-haired friend asked. Liy stopped eating.
It was a few days? She wasn't ready to go now, was it on the 20th? Or... the 19th? "I... recalled it was... this week." She muttered. She wasn't sure.
"But it's a Tuesday today, it has to be either Wednesday or any day later." The light purple-haired friend said, adjusting her hairtie a bit. "Gaty... don't remind me." Liy hid her face in her hair, her head touching the food in front of her.

Some of her friends started giggling. "Oh? When you come back, tell me if there's handsome guys there!" One of them fanned her face. "I'll may or may not do something with that information."
"Ermm... what if there's older guys there?" The beige-haired girl retorted. "I lost my appetite."

After a few minutes of eating and gossiping, it was almost the end of recess. Liy had to reconsider her actions, why did she sign up to this? She was not willing to go to the academy, she only went to prove to her peers that she was talented.
If only she had considered what would happen.

*DING DONG BING BONG*
"Rise and shine, dear students! Today will be a very busy day, so get up and get ready to prepare for what's in store! See you later, tata!"

Ugh. I was really invested in that dream...
Wait. Was it really a dream? I... remember vividly that dream was from about two days before I arrived here. But... how?

How did I remember?
Why?

Forget about it. I know damn well that Mono is going to announce something messed up again, and possibly a new floor. So I don't want anything to bother me now. I rubbed my eyes trying to adjust, glancing at the clock. 7:53 A.M.
I walked into the bathroom to freshen up, and brush my hair.
