IN THE  sterile white room, you slowly opened your eyes, greeted by the sight of familiar faces—Izuku, Todoroki, and Iida. As your groggy mind cleared, the reality of your situation hit you. You were alive, a miracle in itself considering the recent perilous events.

Izuku's smile lit up the room as he exclaimed, "Y/N! You're awake!" Your gaze shifted to Iida, whose expression bore a sense of shame. The air thickened with the weight of unspoken words. Bandaged and bruised, you took stock of your injuries, a mangled arm, and the veil over your eyes returning.

A small figure and a hero, Ryukyu, entered the room, accompanied by a familiar face—Gran Torino. Surprise and confusion played across Izuku's face as he recognized the seasoned hero. Iida's attention shifted to Manual, his mentor, and the atmosphere grew tense.

Ryukyu's question hung in the air like a heavy mist. "Why did you leave?" you whimpered, coiling your tail as you awaited an answer. "I needed to help them; I sensed them in danger and had to save them. They were most likely going to die," you explained, gazing at your claws.

"Anyways, you boys have got me in trouble," Gran Torino remarked, singling out Izuku. Before an apology could escape Izuku's lips, the atmosphere shifted with the entrance of a peculiar figure—a dog? "Hosu's Chief of Police, Kenji Tsuiragamae," he introduced himself with an unusual "woof."

He delivered news of the Hero Killer's arrest, detailing the severe injuries sustained during the apprehension. The tension in the room escalated when he discussed the consequences awaiting you and your mentors. Secret punishments loomed, painting a grim picture.

Todoroki's outburst challenged the system, questioning the morality of following rules that might lead to the death of innocents. The chief's response was stern, emphasizing the need to prevent quirks from becoming weapons and the responsibility of heroes.

The revelation that punishments would only occur if the incident went public brought a mix of relief and disappointment. Witness accounts spared you from facing severe consequences, but the heroes wouldn't receive public recognition. It was a bitter pill to swallow.

The heroes left, leaving a heavy silence in their wake. Iida's guilt lingered, but Manual reassured him, and Gran Torino waved off Izuku's apology with a grumble. You couldn't help but apologize to Ryukyu, who simply patted your head and forgave you, dispelling any lingering tension.

As the chief departed, Todorki expressed his surprise at how you handled the situation, acknowledging Iida's resilience. But then, he dropped an unexpected revelation about feeling cursed—whenever he got involved, someone got hurt. Laughter erupted from Iida and Izuku, and you couldn't help but join in, marveling at the unexpected humor in the midst of chaos.

As you shook your head, smiling, you couldn't help but wonder about Todoroki's complex thoughts. Sometimes, the minds of your classmates, especially Todoroki, seemed like an enigma you were eager to unravel.

"Whoa, what in the world, Bakugo?!" you exclaimed, staring in confusion at Bakugo, who had definitely gotten a new hairstyle. "Shut up... my hair has gotten used to this, and if you hear me, I will kill you," he growled at Kirishima and Sero.

"You scared me with that hair, Kaccan," you said, playfully pointing at his hair. "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Then his hair went back to its normal state. 'Thank the gods his hair is back. I don't think I could get used to that,' you thought, as you curled around in your cozy nest and rested your chin atop your desk.

"Yeah, but the ones who really changed were those four," you heard Kaminari say. "Yeah, the hero killer... I was worried about you guys," Momo said with a concerned expression. "And now Shoto thinks he's a danger to society. I thought he was smarter than that," you bluntly remarked, causing Iuzku to spit out his imaginary water and Kirishma to wheeze. "So blunt, Y/N..."

"Today, class, we will be participating in a rescue training race!" All Might announced with his usual smile. You were wearing your hero costume and stood next to Ashido as the first five participants took their places.

"Iida still seems injured; maybe he should sit this one out, ribbit," Asui suggested. "Yeah, and it's like all the fastest classmates are in one team," Kaminari pointed out.

"But Midoriya seems like he's at a disadvantage here," Jiro said, elbowing your side, or rather your arm. "Correct, he has to break bones to accomplish anything," Ojiro pointed out. "I say Sero will be first; it's like the place was made for him," Kirishima said confidently. "Yeah, but I'll bet Ojiro will be first," Kaminari retorted.

"Iida seems like the fastest even with his injuries," Uraraka said. "No way, it's Ashido due to her flexible body," Mineta chimed in. "What's your best Y/N?" Hagakure asked. "Well, I may be biased because Izuku and I are friends, but I'll put my bet on Sero too. With his reflexes and quirk, he acts like a spider-man," you pointed out.

"Begin!" As expected, Sero was in first, but then Izuku was jumping around, controlling his quirk very well. It's almost like his moves were like-- "Bakugo," you mumbled to yourself. Eventually, Izuku lost his balance, and Sero claimed first place.

Each team went, and you got second place; Bakugo was first. Afterward, you all left to change back into your uniforms. While you stood outside, only taking off the strange cloth you had around you, your veil was still on. Suddenly, though, you heard Mineta's voice talking on the other side. "I'm gonna see everything! Momo's big breasts, Ashido's slim waist, Uraraka's curvy body, Hagakure's floating underwear, Asui's soft breasts, and finally see if L/N has a..." Before he could say anything else, Jiro stabbed him through the ear with her earphone jacks.

"What was he gonna say?" you asked Uraraka, who blushed immensely. "It-it was nothing!" she said quickly and changed the subject. You shrugged and laid your head down, closing your eyes.

As you sat at your desk, you couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the unfamiliar concepts. The notes before you were a jumbled mess of unfamiliar terms and phrases: quadratic functions, Japanese anime, and hand-crushers. You had thought that the midterm test was a piece of cake, but now you realized that you still had much to learn.

Meanwhile, your classmates Ashido and Kaminari were animatedly discussing their test results. They had gotten 21st and 20th place, respectively, but their spirits were high. "If there is one thing I have learned this semester," Ashido exclaimed, "it is that hard work pays off!"

You couldn't help but feel a pang of envy. Why couldn't you be as confident as they were? Why did you feel so lost and confused?

Just then, Momo approached you with a kind smile on her face. "Hey, L/n, if you want, maybe I could help you with those since you're struggling," she offered. You looked at her with stars in your eyes. Her offer of help filled you with hope and excitement.

"You would do that for me?" you asked, surprised and grateful. Momo nodded, and your tail started to wag with delight. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, Momo!" you exclaimed.

As you left the classroom, you heard others asking for Momo's help as well. But instead of feeling jealous or discouraged, you felt inspired. You knew that with Momo's guidance, you could overcome any obstacle. Together, you and your classmates would learn and grow. And as you looked forward to your study session at Momo's house, you felt confident that with hard work and determination, anything was possible.
