This was it.

Today was the first day of the court hearing.

To be honest I was scared, of alot of things. But my family kept me strong. They kept me going.

I step out of my bed and take a long shower, I had taken out my dye and decided to go natural for this trial.

I put on minimal make-up and have simple nude nails done,courtesy of the three musketeers after my life :Ashlie,Londyn and Kathani, who claimed worst come to worst,I was going to go to prison,and that did not mean I was going to look like I lost all my money to a ponzi scheme overnight.

"You are a multi-millionare for heavens sake" Londyn had complained,when I initially objected to their mission and vision statements regarding me.

Such words of motivation indeed,from my so called sisters.

I'm about to dress up,when I hear someone calling me downstairs,and I knew it could only be one person, Ashton Carter.

"Mrs. Carter" He kept on yelling from downstairs and I rush outside with my robe on to prevent further embarrassment.

This man was a case.

Whatever he wanted,he could have come straight to my room.

We had been sleeping in the same room since the day we decided to give our marriage a chance,plus apparently nobody trusted me with my life any longer and since he was my "husband" he became my body guard. He even started keeping my medications with him and was administering them to me. Himself.

So Mr. Carter knew the way to our-My room, but he obviously wanted attention.

"We know y'all are married,we were witnesses. Cant you continue this love story somewhere else,like your room for example" Kathani voices out my thought on my way downstairs, but I want to tease her a little.

"Hey baby" I smile,pecking Ashton on the cheek and giving him a hug,making Kathani groan and scoff.

"Kathani is there a problem? Cuz when you and Leon are all lovey-dovey on my couch,in my office or even my private jet, I usually have nothing to say" I smirk and her cheeks immediately turn beetroot.

"You are supposed to be my bestfriend"She throws me a pillow from the chair she was sitting on,but Ashton blocks me just in time.

" Mrs. King, you will not throw pillows at my dear wife,after all she is Just stating the truth"Ashton mocks and we all laugh.

"You two deserve each other,carry on" She stands up and begins to walk to her room.

"Kathani King" Ashton smiles shaking his head.

"And you,why where you yelling my name all over the house, when you know the way to my room" I immediately step out of Ashton's arms when I realised i was still holding on to him.

I needed to see a doctor after this mess was cleared up.

Was I not supposed to be repulsed by men? Or was I better now?

"Yeah,i'm sorry. I was trying to make you breakfast and I wanted to give you these" He hands me a suit bag he had been holding all the while,along with a shoe box and shopping bag that where on the chair.

"Somebody is gunning for husband of the year" I wink and he laughs "I try"

"Thank you though, for breakfast, and the outfit"

"You dont thank family Mrs. Carter" He smiles. "Now hurry up,we dont want to make a bad impression and be late to court"

"Oh true" I'm about to rush upstairs when he stops me.
