Note: I am not a lawyer. And I do not know how a court case really goes, remember this is a fictional story. None of the events truly took place.

Leora

"Could you please state your name for the court?" The prosecutor...Mr. I cannot remember his name says and I reply.

"Leora Aiko Kohen C-"

Shit.

I had been so used to using Carter in my name that I almost snitched myself.

"I look over to the bench where my family was seating to see Ashton, smiling like a fool.

"Can you come again Ms. Kohen" He repeats and I repeat myself.

"Leora Aiko Kohen"

"How do you plead"

"Not guilty" I reply.

"Ms. Kohen do you know a certain Billy Graham?"

What the fuck??

Of all names for my accuser to bear a fucking Billy"

"No"

"But you had supposedly dated this Billy for one year before you both broke up and you decided to kill him because you could not take it"

Okay...this was hilarious.

I look over to my family and see Ashton teying to stifle a laugh.

I'm sure he was thinking the same thing.

Billy.

"I have been very single for a while now sir. I do not know a Billy." I reply, earning some chuckles from the audience.

"Okay Ms. Kohen, can you give the court a detailed account of what happened on the 10th of August,2022"He asks and I go ahead to give a detailed account of what had happened that day.

" How many outfits did you change to that day"

What??

"Objection, relevance?" Noah speaks up.

"Objection overuled. The procecution can continue"The judge says and I have no choice but to reply.

Apparently this judge liked a little gossip.

" Five outfits"I reply.

"Including the one you went home in?"

"Yes".

" So what where the colours of those outfits?"

Okay these lawyer was being weird.

"The first two outfits were white, both outfits I wore for the events where purple and the last outfit was silver" I break out in a little smile when I remembered the dress, which was still lying in my closet.

"So tell us Ms. Kohen, if we are going with your account of that night, you had no need to change to another outfit during your club party...so why did you change your mind?"

"Because I had bumped into someone and my drink spilled on me. The stain wont come off so the person offered to buy me another dress".

"So what you are trying to tell this court is that someone bought you an entire dress just because he or she spilled the drink on you"

"Yes"

"And who might that person be Ms. Kohen"

"I had bumped in Mr. Ashton Carter" I reply, my face as stoic as it had been since the beginning of this trial.

"But the CCTV footage and other evidence seem so say otherwise. What do you have to say about that Ms. Kohen"I asked, and I say nothing.

He could say what he wanted. All I knew was I was walking out of here a free woman.
