The Assistant's Dilemma

Ch.16

I wake up the next morning by my phone ringing and ringing. Who the hell is calling my right now.

I roughly grab my phone from my nightstand to read the contact

"Mr.Ford"

Of course I should have known. What could he possibly want at 10am.

Before I could answer it stops ringing and I set it back down. However not soon after it starts ringing once again making me pick it back up and yup it's still him.

I sigh before hitting the answer button "um hello?"

"Did I wake you?"

"Uh yeah you did"

"Sorry about that but we got a busy day"

"We?"

"Dinner is today"

"That's not till 7 , it's 10 in the morning"

"Which is why we should hang out a bit before then"

"Giovanni it's 10am"

"Exactly good morning let's get moving"

"no not yet"

"No? What do you mean no?

"I mean no , I wanna sleep"

"Fine you go back to sleep but I'll be calling again so be up and ready"

"And what time will that be at?"

"Around 2, I got some shit to do so I'll just do it while you're asleep then when I'm done I'll call you back"

"Alright sounds good"

I wake up again but this time on my own. I look over at my phone and see a text from Angelina

"Im sleeping at Natalie's tonight , I'll be back in the morning . Love youuuu"
"Have fun at dinner! Tell me if anything happens 😉😉"

She get on my nerves lol. Natalie is her younger sister , only by 2 years though. She just recently moved back down here.

I should start getting ready knowing Giovanni will be calling me in about 2 hours or maybe even sooner knowing how he is.

Not exactly sure what he wants but I'm not gonna argue ..... or maybe I will lol.

I just decide to throw on some comfy clothes I mean it's not like I'm going to work. Plus the office is closed so even we did go there it's not like anyone's there today.

It's around 1:30 when my phone starts ringing and it's Giovanni.

"Hello"

"You sound up and ready"

"Just about" I say

"Come to the office I need some help"

"Are you just saying that to get me over there?"

"I do actually need help with this paper I need to send it by tonight and I also wanna see you"

"So basically you just want me to do the whole paper?"

"No , Courtney just get over here and bring your dinner clothes and stuff , we'll just get ready here and go in my car"

"And then what you'll drop me back off at the office so I can get my car?"

"Well there's a little after party at the office when we're done with dinner. You know everyone will have some drinks and hang out"

"Alright"
