MY HEALING SOULMATE

FIRST OFFICIAL MEET

Erin's POV

"Hey, I am Erin." I said smiling shyly at him.

 I didn't get to really notice him properly at school. But, damn, he was good looking. Like, wow. Okay... That's enough Erin. He was tall with a sharp jawline. He had mesmerizing blue eyes (Idk how many times I have said that) and jet-black hair. One could tell that he worked out cause he was muscular. Not too much or too less, just the right amount. There was something about him, maybe it was his smile or his eyes that made me like him in an instant (as a person, of course). 

"This must be the first time you both are meeting each other." Said Granny. 

"This is our first 'official meet' you could say... But we did bump heads at school today... quite literally on the way to class" I said, half laughing. 

"Did you now?" said Granny with a mischievous glint in her eye.

 Ughhh...I know that glint. A few years ago, when I was around 12, I had a crush on this guy in my building, which my granny instantly recognized and then called him home to set up a 'playdate'. I had a lot of fun that day honestly and we did spend a lot of time hanging out and watching movies but my crush ended quite soon when he moved out of town. I was quite upset that day. Anyways, I knew that my granny was definitely getting some silly thoughts in her head. 

"Erin! Go change your clothes and come down for dinner, you sweaty girl. Aiden, you should stay for dinner." Said Granny all of a sudden. 

"Oh no! it's okay, I don't want to disturb your time with each other."

 "What nonsense! You could never disturb us. Besides, it'll be good for Erin to meet new friends given that she has just moved here. You are being way too formal with the woman who has changed your diapers."

 Woo-hoo, my granny is sassy. I tried to not laugh, but I just couldn't control it. I literally burst out laughing and both of them stared at me, the mischievous glint back in my granny's eye. 

"Uhh... I'm gonna go change." I said hurriedly and ran upstairs. 

After changing into a comfortable night-suit, I went down for dinner. Granny had made pizza (since today was my first day at a new school) and then we had the cake Aiden brought for dessert. Dinner was quite pleasant. Granny askes us both how our day went and we all had a nice conversation. To say that the desert was delicious would be an understatement, it was one of the best cakes I ever had, genuinely. It had a sweet and creamy flavour with a light and airy texture. 

"This is really good, by the way" I said looking at Aiden.

 "I know." He said, smirking at me. 

Granny, for some reason, looked at him surprisingly when he said that 

"Now now, no need to be so modest." I replied smirking back, surprising myself. 

"You're lucky to be one of the very few people to taste my cake." 

"Well, I'm honoured." I replied rolling my eyes sarcastically.

 And the glinty (granny's glint) was back. Trust my granny, to overthink and complicate a situation like this. However, it felt nice talking to Aiden and I am sure he's a good guy since granny dotes on him so much. After a long time, I slept without nightmares of the accident and with maybe a little peace in my head. 

Our main characters have met... I genuinely found their first meet sweet and kinda funny. Hope you guys liked it as much as I did...    💫😄... Please do vote and comment.
