That's the sound me knocking... Hehe. It's currently Sunday, 6 pm and me and Aiden were outside's Rebecca's huge mansion. The door opens.
Oh wow
She looks really pretty. I'm not joking, she's actually dressed herself up like I would for a party or maybe she just likes to dress fancy of Sundays. I feel a little underdressed now wearing a simple t-shirt and capri jeans. She's wearing a stylish black frock with a Queen Anne neckline. She accessorized herself with simple but elegant silver earrings and a thin silver pendant with the letter 'R'.

"Hey guys" she smiles (at Aiden) "Come on in."
Wow, her house is huge. I mean, I've already been here before but I still can't fathom how big it is. Also, it seems pretty empty.
Once, we settle down, she asks raising her eyebrows, "How did you two come in together?"
"We're neighbours, we left together." Shrugs Aiden
"Oh, I see. So, you two are close then?" she says giving me the stink eye.
"No, we're ---" I was about to answer when Aiden beat me to it.
"Yeah, pretty close" he says nonchalantly looking at his phone.
I looked at him in surprise but he didn't look back at me. At this I saw her teeth grit and her eyes flashed with anger. This is exactly why I was going to say that we're not that close but we're friends. I'm not scared of her or anything, I just want to get through with this project without going on her enemy list before that. Once, we're done she's free to do whatever she likes. I'm just trying to cooperate with her till my work is done.
"Anyways, shall we get going with the project guys? Let's just all exchange our questions and go through each of them. Anyone having any changes can tell it now so that once everything is finalized, there won't be much of a hassle." I said quickly seeing that she was about to lose her temper.
We spent the next 15 mins going through all the questions and making a few changes here and there. We then discussed the people we're going to interview as well so that none of us end interviewing the same person.
We were done by 6:45 pm and I packed up all my stuff ready to go.
"Hey Aiden, you want to stay for dinner?" she asked sweetly battling her eyelashes.
"I have plans" he replied cooly
"With who?" she asked at once
He hesitated for a fraction of a second before saying, "Family."
"You have plans with family? We're family now?" I asked him on the way home. It was a Sunday and the three of us usually had dinner together on Sunday's.
"I didn't mean you. I meant granny. You can't be my family."
"Why not?" I asked feeling a little offended. I didn't think of him as family but I still wanted to know why he thought so.
"I can't go around making such pretty girls my family." He replied, suddenly looking straight into my eyes.
Him and his blue eyes... Arrghhh. Get a grip Erin.
I immediately felt myself blushing and looked down shyly. He smirked knowing the effect he had on me.
That charming idiot
"Granny, we're here." I said opening the door
"Hello, my dears! How did your project work go?"
"It was good granny." Aiden replied
"Yeah, Aiden had a pretty great time." I replied teasingly
"He did?" asked Granny and Aiden at the same time
"Yeah, he's quite popular among the girls." I replied teasingly at which he looked me with his eyebrows raised.
"I'm sure he is. He's such a sweetheart after all. God has blessed him with both, looks and personality" granny replied pinching Aiden's cheeks
"Oh, come on granny. Why did you have to take the fun out of it?" I huffed grumpily and they both grinned.
"Why Erin? You jealous of all the attention he gets from girls?" asked Granny mischievously with glinty back in her eye.
"No, what? That's not what I – You know what, forget it. I'm just going to go freshen up."
This so backfired on me.
Dinner was pretty fun, although the two of them teased me the whole time. Granny had decided the theme of our conversation to be, "Let's embarrass Erin as much as possible." She decided to tell him the story of my first talent show back at my old school where I had danced on Macarena. I had practised all week long and when the time had come to perform, I had tripped in the middle of my performance and fallen straight on my nose.
"It's not even that funny. It would be funny if you actually saw it." I said grumpily
"Oooh, that's a good idea. I'll get the video" said Granny ready to embarrass me more
"Granny, noo." I whined "I don't think Aiden is interested in seeing the video? You're not, right?" I said looking at him, actually glaring at him so that he says no.
"I'd love to see it." He replied smirking at me
"I'm going to kill you". I mouthed at him.
"Why the grumpy face sourpuss? You were adorable when you were young."
"I know I was adorable." I replied grumpily "Still, it doesn't mean I look forward to you two laughing at all the embarrassing things I've done in my life."
They both spent a good 20 mins laughing at me and the video. I'm glad that the two of them have each other, even though, I don't particularly enjoy them targeting me.
"Aiden, when is your mother coming back?" asked Granny as he was leaving
"I think she's coming Next Monday. Her business deal seems to be taking more time than expected."
"Why don't you live here for a few days?"
I spat out the water I was drinking. Both of them looked at me.
"Hehe, water got stuck in my throat." I said sheepishly
"Move in? Here? But why?" asked Aiden
"I don't like the idea of you staying alone for a week. How will you manage your meals? I don't trust you to eat on time and take care of yourself."
"I'm not a baby granny."
"You sure act like one." I grinned at this. He rolled his eyes
"Okay, so it's decided. You'll stay here till your mother comes back. I'm not having any discussion on this. You can go home from time-to-time at your convenience but I need to make sure you're eating and sleeping well. Erin will take you to the guest room."
"Okay Granny" he replied with a small smile.
