"It's been nearly two weeks and I've only seen one attack," Tierney's tone is wrapped with annoyance, a gift courtesy of the man who throws a punch to her jaw, She dodges the blow and backs away from her opponent.
"And when did this one attack happen?" Ciaran asks, his gaze locked with hers as they move back and forth across the mat neither one looking to win, both comfortable with the smooth rhythm they've created.
"Does that really even matter?" Tierney answers his question with a question. S sheepish smile plays across her expression as she slaps away his fist and lands a soft-ish blow to his stomach with her foot before retreating out of his reach.
Ciaran found out she was attacked via rumours and then it was confirmed by Ridoc after he asked. Ciaran isn't happy about it.
"Yes." Ciaran's voice is as firm as the worried determination in his blue gaze, "I want to know how many of these 13 days you've lied to me and not told me you got attacked."
"I didn't lie." Tierney protests as he tackles her to the ground, sending the pair rolling across the mat, "I just didn't tell you, so technically I didn't lie." She continues as she finds herself looking up at Ciaran who ends on top.
"You still didn't tell me," the hurt in his tone nearly makes her feel guilty if she didn't do it for his own good. The man blocks her jabs and punches her to his stomach and abdomen, "I thought we're in this together."
"I didn't want you to worry." Tierney manages to gain enough leverage to cause them both to roll once again, this time with her on top, looking down at Ciaran, her legs locked around his.
"What else haven't you told me if you're keeping that you nearly got killed from me?" Ciaran questions, cocking a brow at her as she draws her hand forward and pokes two fingers at the centre of his forehead, an action Ciaran doesn't even flinch at.
"I haven't kept anything else important from you." Tierney promises with a nod, before she hesitates and looks away from him, "Depends on what you perceive as important."
"Tierney!" Ciaran's exasperated anger nearly makes her smile. Before the man can initiate another roll and grapple for the top position, Tierney rolls off of him and to her feet.
"I'm joking!" She says, holding her hands up and giving him an innocent smile. "I haven't been laid, I haven't flirted with anyone but I have been flirted with, I've been a good person and I'm studying physics with my squad because we're both useless at it."
Ciaran sighs as he holds the bridge of his nose, "I don't care about flirting, the laid part would be interesting to be updated about."
"Oh? Why?" Tierney asks, leaning forward as she watches Ciaran get up from where he is sitting on the mat. "Want to make sure I'm not getting ahead of you?" She teases with a wink.
He shakes his head, hands planted on his hips when she stands. "I want to know how bad your taste has gotten." A playful grin encases his expression.
"It's just as bad as it's always been." She tells him truthfully, "Oh! I also haven't snuck out once. I think you should be very proud of me."
Ciaran laughs at this, "Now that's an achievement, you deserve a medal."
"I do. And a celebration with it, with, of course, cake." She tells him with a sad smile, "I really miss cake."
"I'm not sneaking out with you just so we can go find cake," Ciaran says shaking his head, watching as Tierney pouts her bottom lip.
"Are you two supposed to be sparring?" Liam inquires as the doors to the gym creak open, revealing the blonde man as he steps inside, not bothering to look at the other cadets training.
