After convincing my parents for the hundredth time that I am okay I finally hung up. Tonight was something else. So many things happened that it feels unbelievable that it happened within a few hours.

As expected the fire was caused by the festival. Some people were dancing with fire and it hit the curtains of some balconies. Police are still investigating. Thank god no one died but at least six people were severely injured. I just hope they are fine.

A massive respect to the fighters who were able to dismiss the fire and get everyone out of the building in time. I was afraid to my core. I am still a bit shaken off.

But thanks to God that I am safe and alive right now.

And also thanks to the man who is walking towards me right now with two paper cups in his hands and with a smile on his face.

"There you go, brownie." he handed me one of the cups with steaming hot coffee. I scoffed.

"Where did you get it from?" I asked as we were outside the burned motel along with other people. "Well, the staff are generous enough to serve free drinks now and I sniffed the bitter coffee and it reminded me of you."

I squinted my eyes at him and took the coffee from him, not saying thank you. For the first time in history I don't wanna slap the smirk away from his face.

We both leaned against one of the cars while sipping our drinks. Suddenly I remembered that he saw my hair.

OH MY GOD!

He saw my hair and probably more than that. I was wearing a damn crop top but he probably wasn't able to grasp so many details because it lasted only a few seconds.

We finished our drinks in silence. From a far distance I could see two of the staff members were coming towards us with slight smiles over their faces.

"Hello, I hope you are doing fine now. Again, we are extremely sorry for the inconvenience of today." one of them said, sounding genuinely guilty.

"No, it's not your fault. It was unfortunate for all of us." I said with a smile on my face. "Well, should have been careful then." my eyes slightly widened at Eryx's answer.

Both of them gave each other an awkward look, not knowing what to say. I slightly hit Eryx's arm. "He didn't mean it." I reassured them and they just smiled awkwardly while that gigantic dude rolled his eyes.

Literally rolled his eyes.

"Well, actually we came here with an offer." she paused before continuing. "Due to this inconvenience, staying here is kind of unfortunate tonight..."

"Kind of?" Eryx interrupted.

"I-I mean the situation is bad here. Really bad. So you won't be able to stay here tonight." agh. Saw that coming.

"So what's the offer?" I asked.

"We have been contacting the nearby motels for our clients and booked almost everyone a place to stay." "Oh really? And where is it exactly?" Eryx asked.

"Umm...two motels are in the area. And another one is the SanMarco Hotel which is a bit far but is one of the best hotels in the city and is one of our strongest allies." Okay, I have heard quite a lot about this hotel.

"Okay we will take that hotel." I looked at Eryx with frowned eyebrows. "We? Aren't you going to go home?" "gee and leave you alone here? No, thank you."

He looked so damn serious with his arms crossed over his chest that it flipped my heart. He turned to the staff again who were smiling among themselves, making my cheeks burn.
