I'll Be There For You (Abhira fic)

Chapter - 29

It has been two hours since Abhi informed his family about the birth of babies. He called Manish and Swarna to inform them about his girls. Although he had no expectations from them, he still did that. As expected they are happy about Akshara and her babies but could not come right now to meet them. They had some prior commitments. Abhi didn't feel even an iota of sadness over this behaviour of them. He just fulfilled his duty.

Abhi took Harsh with him to another corner of the room. He had to talk something important with him. 

"Haa, Abhimanyu bolo kya baat hai. Sab theek toh hai na. Akshara theek toh hai na", asked Harsh worriedly. Abhimanyu didn't say anything to him and hugged him tightly. He had tears in his eyes.

"Thank you so much, papa. Thank you so much", said Abhimanyu emotionally. Harsh also hugged his son tightly. He has been waiting to hear 'Papa' from Abhi's mouth.

"Bas beta, aise nhi rote", said Harsh and patted his back. 

"Agar aap nhi hote toh mere bache nhi hote aaj mere pass. Thank you for being my strength. I couldn't survive these months if you were not there with me", said Abhi.

"Aise nhi kehte Abhi", said Harsh. He wiped Abhi's tears with his sleeves.

"Nhi, please mujhe bolne dijiye aaj. It was you who had been my rock. You find Dr. Anushka for us. You took a sabbatical from your job just to be with us. Mujhe pta hai aapne sabbatical Akshu ki wajah se nhi mere wajah se liya tha", said Abhi.

"Mujhe pta tha ki Akshu ke pass sab hai uss care krne ke liye . Woh sab kuch tum se share kr sakti hai pr tumhare pass koi nhi tha. Tum Akshu ko aisey time bilkul pareshan nhi kroge. I know Manjari ke jane ke baad tum apna dukh kissi se share nhi kroge. So, I have to be with you. I cannot let you go through that journey alone, beta", said Harsh.

"Thank you so much, Papa for being there for me. I can't even explain in words how much your support, care, and concern helped me during these times. I will always be indebted to you", said Abhi emotionally.

"Chup kr pagle. Baap ko thank you bolega. I know Abhimanyu, I have wasted so many years busy with my work and other things in my life. I have never priortised you or our family but not anymore beta. I promise you, from now onwards you will always have me with you", Harsh promised his son.

"I also promised to be with you, papa. Humne itne salon mai bahut sara time waste kr diya but ab aur nhi. We will always be together from now onwards", Abhi also promised his father. Harsh nodded and hugged his son. He finally got his son back. Today is the happiest day of his life. He got his son back along with his two granddaughters. He will never forget this day in his life.

"Acha ab rona band kr. Jaa check krke aa mai kab apni bachiyon se mil sakta hoon", said Harsh. Abhi nodded his head. He went to check on his girls. Harsh came back to the waiting room.

"Bhai, hum kab jayenge babies se milne ke liye. I can't wait anymore", said Nishtha impatiently to her brothers.

"Bas, kuch der aur Nish. Bhabhi ek baar unhe feed krva le phir hum chalte hai unse milne ke liye", said Neil excitedly. He is equally excited to meet his nieces. 

"Guys, you can come now", announced Abhi. Everyone instantly stood up to meet the new members of their family. They all hurriedly went towards Akshara's room. Abhi knocked on the door to get Akshara's permission. 

Akshara nodded and the family came inside to meet the princesses. Nishtha was the first one to see them.

"Oh my god! Oh my god! They are so cute. Kitni pyari lag rhi hai dono", Nishtha gushes over them. "Bhai can I pick them up". 

"Yes, you can. But sit down first of all", said Abhi in his overprotective father mode. He gently lifts his elder daughter up and hands her to Nishtha. "Nish, support her neck".
