I'll Be There For You (Abhira fic)

Chapter - 18

Akshara's breathing heavily. She tried to hold something, but couldn't grab anything. She lost her balance. Black dots were coming in front of her eyes. She clutched her belly tightly to protect her babies. She would fall but Neil held her in the nick of time. He protectively encased her in his arms to break her fall.

"Bhabhi", shouted Neil as Akshara fainted in his arms.

"Shefali Bhabhi", shouted Neil to call his other sister-in-law. Hearing Neil, Shefali ran to Akshara's room and was shocked to see her in this state.

"Akshu, Neil kya hua hai isko", asked Shefali worriedly. 

"I don't know Bhabhi. Mai bas yha se nikal rha tha when I saw her falling so I caught her before she hit the ground", said Neil slowly. Both Shefali and Neil looked at each other worriedly. 

"Hume isse jaldi hi hospital le jana padega", said Shefali. Neil lifted Akshara in his arms and took her to his car. He carefully put Akshara in the backseat. Shefali settled beside her. She then called her babysitter to look after her son in her absence.

"Call Abhimanyu immediately", Shefali instructed it to Neil. Neil called Abhimanyu to inform him about Akshara's condition. He told him that they were coming to the hospital with Akshara.

Abhimanyu was so worried right now. The Birlas cancelled the meeting as soon as they got the information about Akshara. He was pacing at the entrance waiting for Neil.

"Abhimanyu, relax. Kuch nhi hoga Akshara ko", said Mahima while patting his shoulder.

"Tayiji maine abhi 20 minutes pehle hi Akshu se baat kri thi, woh bilkul theek thi uss time pr. She was enjoying her breakfast then what happened to her suddenly", mumbled Abhi. 

"I don't know, but tum itni tension mat lo. Hum abhi sirf wait kr sakte hai", Mahima tried to console him but it was of no use.

After 5 minutes, Neil's car entered the premises of Birla Hospital. Abhimanyu hurriedly opened the door and lifted Akshara in his arms. She was looking so pale right now. Her hands were clasped in front of her belly.

"Abhimanyu put Akshara down. I have already informed Anushka. She waiting for Akshara in the ward", said Harsh. Abhimanyu put Akshara on the stretcher and wheeled her to the maternity ward. Akshara's doctor is already waiting for her. 

"Aap log yhi rukiye. Mai ati hoon abhi Akshara ko check krke", said Dr Anushka.

"Nhi, mai apke sath challoonga. I will not leave my wife", shouted Abhimanyu.

"Dr. Birla, let us do our work. Aapko pta hai patients ke sath family members andar allowed nhi hote hai. It is against the rules", said the doctor. 

"I don't care about any rules. I am coming with you", announced Abhi. The doctor looked towards Harsh asking for his help.

"Abhimanyu, let Anushka do her work. Tum wait kro yhi pr", said Harsh. He signalled the doctor to go inside, he would manage his son.

"Sir, I am also a doctor. Kya aap bhool gye hai. I am going inside", shouted Abhimanyu.

"Abhimanyu, right now you are only Akshara's husband, not her doctor. Don't let me restrain you", said Harsh. 

"But....", Abhimanyu tried to speak something but Harsh didn't let him complete his sentence.

"Ek dum chup. Don't create any scene right now", said Harsh. Abhimanyu nodded and sat down beside the wall of Akshu's cabin. Harsh sat down with him to support his son.

"Use kuch nhi hoga na", asked Abhimanyu with teary eyes. He is so scared right now for the well-being of his wife and kids.

"Kuch nhi hoga. She has our prayers and love with us. Use aur babies ko kuch nhi hoga", Harsh consoled his son. Abhimanyu put his head on Harsh's shoulders praying for Akshara's wellbeing.
