Binasa kong muli ang nakasulat sa isang post na ilalathala ng dyaryo ngayong gabi. It has been years since letters never sent vanished from the publication— but tonight, it is finally making its much awaited comeback.
"Roxy, ibabalik mo talaga? Tinanggal na nga natin kasi nilalapagan nila ng hate speech noon, 'diba? Mauulit lang 'yon, Roxy," Saad ni Sky na halatang nag aalala para sa susunod na lathalain.
Letters never sent was a page and a section made for unsaid emotions. We had an online platform where they can freely send confessions in. We also established a whole feature section for personal interviews that they wish to share— but two years ago, people ruined it for us, the ones who created it, and for the people that actually needs it. The page was full of hatred back then. Unsaid emotions became bullying attacks, and the safe space that we wanted to cater became a horrifying site for animosity.
"Things have changed over the years, Sky. There are people waiting for us to comeback. There are people who still needs us," I convinced.
It's my last year in the university. My final year as the publication's Editor-In-Chief. I want to spend my senior year hearing their stories once again.
The students may need it.
I need it.
and I think, he needs it again.
