Our First Patrol

*SRRY FOR NOT UPLOADING IN A WHILE CHRISTMAS HAS HAD ME BEING A BUSY BEE.*

Lucy was thinking about her, Angela and Nyla's interaction. She figured it was nothing and brushed it off.
"Boot what took you so long?" Tim shouted almost regretting shouting.
"Sorry sir, Officer Lopez and Detective Harper asked me to hang back and talk to them." Lucy said understanding what they meant 'hard ass' part of her didn't expect it but he couldn't figure out why. He knew why. EXACTLY why.
"Okay fair enough. Get the equipment." Tim told Lucy. She simply nodded, grabbed the bags and followed him. He gave the usual rules that TO's give when you first get a rookie. 'Don't call it car call it as shop' and all that crap. He tried so hard to sound commanding but he faltered between commanding and simply talking. Lucy saw the hard ass part of him but another part Angela didn't say. A sweet part, soft almost. She was going to try to bring that part out of him.

*when they get in the shop*

They drive from the garage and after a few minutes of silence they get their first call. A loud noise disturbance. They go deal with that it was just a party with a bunch of drunk people. Nothing much. They continue patrolling. "Soo why did you decide too become a police officer?"
He asked preparing for his annoying little Tim Tests.
"Because my parents want me to be a 'perfect little girl' and shape me to what they want me to be like a doctor or lawyer. Being quite frank it was really annoying and pressuring. I wanted to help people but not in the doctor way, so I figured this was my calling." Lucy replied plainly. Oh. He actually felt sympathy for her so he decided to hold off the test at that time. He'd had emotional stories like that before but the fact he didn't be an ass around her confused him. She thought he would be annoying like Angela said and use that as a Tim Test. She was quite confused and felt like they could be friends. Or more? No. Or yes?
"7-Adam-19 we need you to pick up BOLO suspect Selby." Dispatch said. They drove over and immediately were greeted with a shooting battle between Selby, a friend of his, Nolan and Harper. He and Lucy were shooting from the shop windows. He got shot and yelled.
"Argh! Chen I've been shot!" he yells after her. She panics and quickly creeps round the shop and pulls him behind cover. "Dispatch I need an R.A. to my location asap officer down!" she cried into the radio. She puts pressure on the wound.
"Go back to shooting Chen don't worry about me!" He groaned in pain, blood streaming out.
"Sir.. I can't." she replied eyes filled with compassion and worry. He was partially glad she didn't want to he felt comforted by her care and compassion and presence. He nodded in response.
"Thanks Lucy." He smiled in pain saying her first name. She noticed he had called her by her first name. "Of course Tim." she hesitated saying his first name but decided to do it. He liked it.
His name coming out of her mouth. The R.A. arrived with backup. They put him on a gurney.
"Lucy come with me." He murmured quietly. She obeyed and hopped in.
