Starved for Help (Part 2)

Carley, Lee, Ben and Mark went to the dairy farm with the two guys. They walked down a dirt road towards the farm chatting with one another. Lee and Carely were further back away from the other four. "It's nice to get away from that motel for a while. This Lilly/Kenny thing is starting to get ridiculous." Carley sighed and looked at Lee. "Personally I'd be happier if you started to take charge more." Carley suggested, smiling slightly.

"Kenny keeps us motivated. He believes in hope and knows how important it is for us to not give that up. I can't fault him for that." Lee replied to Carley. "Or maybe you just don't want to be in charge?" Carley said, looking at Lee with a blank expression. "Well... not everyone thinks I'm so trustworthy." Lee answered, shrugging. "Because of your past?" Carley asked Lee, looking forward, as they walked. "Does anyone else know?" She continued, looking over at Lee.

"Larry knows." "Great, that can't be easy." She sighed. "Clement and Y/N knows." Lee added, making Carely look at the man. "They were there when we were talking in the drugstore and they asked me about it." Lee continued, not looking at the woman next to him. "I couldn't lie to them."

"What exactly DID happen with the senator?" Carley questioned, looking over at Lee. Lee sighed and looked over at her, "... It was an accident. I mean, I pretty much knew about the affair... Sometimes I wonder if I should talk to the group about it..." "You don't have to. Whatever happened before things went to h*ll doesn't matter anymore." Carely spoke.

"Not sure everyone would see it that way." Lee said, frowning a bit. "Maybe you're right." Carley nodded, looking at Lee. "Listen, over the years I've reported on some pretty messed up sh*t. I've seen situations like yours a hundred times, it doesn't make you a bad man..." She said, sending him a small smile. Lee stared straight ahead before smiling over at her, "I really appreciate that."

At the front of the group with the four guys Mark was talking, "I mean, thank goodness Lee showed up when he did! Right Lee?" Mark called out, looking behind him. "Yeah, why don't you tell us a little more about yourself, Lee?" One of the newer guys asked, slowing down to meet Lee's pace.

Back at the motor inn you, Clem and Duck were playing hide and seek with each other. You and Clem were the hiders while your brother was the seeker. Clem snickered and pulled you into one of the empty rooms. You laughed quietly and hid under the bed with Clem. "There's no way he'll find us for a while." You whispered, smiling slightly. Clem smiled back at you and nodded.

After a while of hiding you heard your brother calling out for the two of you. "Guys come on! This isn't fair." He whined, entering the room you two were in. You covered your mouth as you almost started to laugh. Clem covered his mouth too as he watched you try to stifle your laughter, which caused him to want to laugh. "Mooooom! I can't find Y/n or Clement!" Your brother whined, leaving the room.

You began giggling as he left the room. Clem looked at you and started giggling too. You smiled and moved out from under the bed. "We win!" You said, walking out of the room, getting your brother's attention. "You took too long." You said, sticking your tongue out at him. He whined and crossed his arms. "Not fair! You got to hide with Clem." You smiled and nodded. Clem stared at the two of you and smiled, before he touched your arm. "Tag." He said and started to run away.

You gasped and saw that Duck started to run away from you. "Not fair!" You whined, running after them. Clem snickered and dodged you as you went to tag him. You pouted and chased after him until you saw Duck running close by. You smirked and ran after your brother until you tagged him.

"Awww." Duck whined, before he started running after you. You laughed and looked back and saw Duck was getting close to tagging you. "Y/N watch out!" You heard Clem yell. The next thing you knew you were on the ground, sprawled out. "Are you okay?" Duck asked, looking down at you as Clem ran over to you.
