Starved for Help (Part 3)

Clem pushed you on the swing as Lee walked back over to you two. "I've got some things to take care of. I'll be back in a bit." He said, softly. "Okay." You and Clem said. You smiled as you started to swing higher. "My turn!" Duck yelled, jumping up and down. Kenny sighed, "Alright Y/N, let's let Duck have another turn." You nodded and stopped swinging. You hopped off the swing and smiled at Clem. "Thanks for pushing me."

Lee walked over to the St. John brothers, getting their attention. "How are ya feelin', Lee? I'm really sorry you almost got killed out there. We should have told you how dangerous it was." Andy apologized to Lee. "No sh*t." Lee glared at the two brothers.

"You saw what they did to your buddy. Nobody's safe here until we start to fight back." Danny said, crossing his arms. "But how?" Lee asked Danny. "The two of us should go out and do some recon, then we'll all mount up for some revenge." Danny smirked. "H*ll yeah." Andy smiled, nodding his head.

"Who the f*ck are these people in the woods?" Lee angrily asked. Andy shrugged, "We don't know. We think some of 'em used to work at the big box up the way." "Save Lots." Danny informed, cutting in. "Yeah. Anyway, they're nutty as h*ll. And get mad when they're hungry."

"So, are ya ready to head out there and find their camp?" Danny asked Lee, ready to go out. Lee nodded, "Yeah. It'll be a good opportunity to find out a bit more about what we're up against. Let's do it." "I'll stay and hold down the fort." Andy said, making the two nod. "Remember; we're just doing reconnaissance for now. No use getting ourselves killed." Danny reminded Lee.

 You and Clem were talking when you both saw Lee walking towards the gate. You and Clem ran over to him. "Are you going now?" You asked Lee, looking up at him. "Yeah, I'll be back soon, you two." Lee smiled down at you two. "Please be lucky." Clem said, worriedly. "I will." Lee assured, before walking away with Danny.

You noticed Clem look down as Lee walked away. You put your hand on Clem's shoulder and smiled. "He'll be okay. It's Lee we're talking about." You said, making Clem smile and nod. "You're right." You grabbed his hand and pulled him over to your dad and Duck, who was still swinging.

Lee and Danny walked through the woods in silence until Danny spoke up, "See anything?" "Not yet." Lee answered, looking around. "I know it's around here. It's gotta be close." Danny muttered, as Lee stopped. Lee crouched down and stared down at an empty can of soup. "Here!" Lee said, as he spotted the camp.

"Oh sh*t you found it!" Danny exclaimed quietly, staring at the camp. Lee motioned for them to walk up to the camp quietly. Lee pulled out his gun and looked through the scope, checking to see if anyone was there. Lee sighed and put his gun down looking over to Danny. The camp was empty. Lee then crouched down and slowly walked closer to the camp ground. Standing up behind a tree. "See anybody?" Danny asked quietly.

"Look empty." Lee said, looking over at Danny who was hidden behind a tree as well. "Watch my back, Lee. I'm gonna check out the tent." Danny instructed, walking over to it, Lee following behind. The two then slowly started walking towards the tent until Danny opened it, revealing that It was empty. "Clear." Danny shrugged.

The two then lowered their guard and looked around the camp. "This camp's too small. It can't be their main base." Andy spoke, making Lee agree. "That's what I was thinking."

Danny sighed and looked around, "Take a look around anyway. There's probably some sh*t around here they stole from us." He ordered, frowning. Lee then started walking around, searching the empty boxes on the tables. Lee then walked over to the other table that had boxes on it. "What's in the boxes?" Danny questioned, turning to look over at Lee.
