"Are yaar, agar tum saath sogi, toh aisy nahi sona, warna main yahan nahi songa, aur tumhe zabardasti yahan sulaunga" Rishi determinedly says
"Rishi... lekin" Lakshmi hesitantly says again, but stops due to Rishi's intense stare
"Acha, theek hai, par tum aisy gusse se mat dekho mujhe" Lakshmi innocently says, setting her dupatta before completely lying down
Rishi smiled and laid down next to her, smiling at her, completely satisfied and fully comfortable, staring at her features
"Ab tum kal chalogi na mere saath?" Rishi asked, smirking as he already knew her answer
"Haan, ab tumhari company ka itna bada investment hai, mere jaane se agar ho jata hai, toh main kyun kabab main haddi banun" Lakshmi said, getting comfortable
"Hmm... han han, waisy bhi tumhare bina toh main jaata bhi nahi aur investment bhi nahi karta" Rishi says, confusing her
"Kyun?" She asked, confused
"Are..because... you are my lucky charm" Rishi said, holding her hand
She blushed upon hearing the heartfelt compliment, and looked down, not being able to meet his eyes
"Meri aankhon mein dekho Lakshmi" Rishi said, intensely staring at her eyes
She looked back up and got lost in his eyes, both stayed with locked eye contact for a while before Lakshmi got a call from someone
She picked it up and got scared due to the screaming
"Are, tu toh meri call hi nahi utha rahi, kal aana hai ya nahi!" Abda Begum shouted through the phone
"Baji, main bola tha na, mere h...husband ab nahi chahte main job karun, apko message kiya tha na maine" Rishi smirked widely hearing the 'husband' compliment
"Mujhe koi message nahi aya, ab tu aayegi ya nahi?" She asked her, in her usual harsh tone
"N-" Lakshmi was interrupted by Rishi
"Nahi, she won't come now" Rishi answered on her behalf
"Ab tum kon ho?" Abda asks, annoyed
"This is Rishi Oberoi, Lakshmi's husband, aur maine bas ye bolna tha, ke Lakshmi ab nahi aayegi kaam par, woh mere saath waapis Mumbai jaa rahi hai"
"Oh, Mr Oberoi! Kaisy hain aap?" Adba suddenly asks
Rishi and Lakshmi, both had a confused expression on their faces, they were shocked that Abda knew who Rishi was
"Main...main theek hoon? Ap mujhe kaisy jaanti hain?" Rishi curiously asks
"Are, mera beta Arjun, apki hi company main toh kaam karta hai na" Abda replies
"Karta tha, ab toh he's been fired for 4 months" Rishi replies, with a straight face
Abda embarrassingly cuts the call, and Rishi laughs, and so does Lakshmi, once they calmed down, Rishi asks Lakshmi
"Tumhe akeli yahi aurat mili kya job karne ke liye?" Rishi jokingly says
"Haan, ab us waqt mujhe sirf job se, paison se matlab tha, ghar main roti paani lana tha na" Lakshmi says, with her head down to the floor
"Sorry Lakshmi, mujhe tumhare saath aisa nahi karna chahiye tha" Rishi guiltly replies, to which Lakshmi answers
"Nahi nahi, tumhari is galti ki waja se, main bohut kuch khoya, lekin bohut kuch seekha bhi" Lakshmi says, smiling at him calmly
"Acha chalo, ab so jaate hain, jal jaana hai na ghar waapis?" Lakshmi says, cheering herself and Rishi up
They lie down, this time, without the pillow barrier, and Rishi smiles at her, he holds her hand down next to himself, in the space between them
Rishi took her other hand used it as a calming tool, and placed it under his cheek, closing his eyes, he slept off
The next morning when they woke up, Rishi and Lakshmi were knotted together, they had unknowingly cuddled up during the night and seemed comfortable having their arms secured around each other
Rishi was acting like the bug spoon and had his arms securely around her shoulders, while she had cuddled up near his chest, feeling the warmth and calmness
They woke up to Shalu's voice calling them for breakfast, and were in a fixed moment, where time froze and it was just their eyes talking silently
They smiled and slightly blushed due to the awkward timing of the moment, Shalu was outside, calling them, and they were cuddled up, still trying to figure out how they ended up like this
"Di, Jiju! Jaldi kijiye, nashta thanda ho raha hai, aur nikal na nahi hai kya ap logon ko?" Shalu reminded them, causing them to quickly get up and go to the bathroom, Rishi brushed his hair, while Lakshmi washed her face, then they switched and quickly went out to the dining table
"Kya hua, itni lambi raat thi kya, ke ap dono uth hi nahi paye?" Shalu teases, and Ayush and Bani join in
"Chup kar!" RishMi say at once, Rishi to Ayush and Lakshmi to Shalu and Bani
"Aye haye, coordination toh dekho" Ayush claims, making RishMi blush
