"Are you sure you don't want any help with that?"

"No I got it, thank you though" Tana says sweetly while standing over the stove holding a spatula. She's going all out with breakfast today. Pancakes, eggs, toast, bacon, hash-browns... My first home cooked meal since being back.

I sit at the kitchen table holding Gunnar in my arms, feeding him a bottle, while Ammon sits in his high chair next to me. How great it feels to be back home.

"Hey I was thinking, maybe we should go visit your parents later today. They're probably dying to see you" Tana says stirring the eggs around.

"Oh yeah sure, I don't mind" I answer back.

I look over at Tana & can't help but to smile. There she was working hard in the kitchen, making me an amazing breakfast, doing what it took to try and make me happy. She always did what she could to help keep this family together. I know it wasn't easy me being gone all the time. It was extremely difficult for me to. But this was my job, as well as life passion. Music was just something I could never give up.

My mind quickly focuses off work as I see Tana parade around the kitchen, humming and smiling. She was obviously in a good mood now that I was home.

Thoughts of my girl get interrupted when I hear a voice calling me.

"Daddy?" Ammon says innocently. "Can we go to the park today?"

"Of course! Daddy's gonna be home for a while now. We can do whatever you want"

"Thanks daddy" Ammon tells me with a sincere smile on his face.

After feeding and burping Gunnar, I carefully set him down in his portable rocker close by. He really was the perfect baby. Last time I saw him he was only a little over a month old. How fast kids grow up. I was excited to be back and actually be a parent to him for once.

I glance around the kitchen and my eyes soon find their way back to Tana. I blame the short jean shorts.

But in all seriousness, I really was lucky in finding her. She's like no other women I've ever met. If it wasn't for her I don't know where I'd be. Sure we have our ups and downs, but at the end of the day she's everything I wanted...and more.

Suddenly thinking about her wasn't enough. I had to feel and hold her in my arms. I get up off my seat and make my way over to the countertop next to the stove where she's getting the plates ready. I wrap my arms around her from the back of her waist, kissing her cheek, pushing her forward into the countertop a little.

"Babe...quit it" she says giggling.

"What?" I mumble kissing her jaw now. "Can't I kiss my wife that I haven't seen in so long?"

I start softly kissing the side of her neck as she tries to keep her focus on preparing the plates.

Being on the road for months at a time with nothing but men and no physical contact with a female was torture for a man, so the feeling of actually holding and kissing a woman felt extremely nice. Oh how I missed my wife.

I continue kissing her neck, making sure to kiss harder every time. I feel her body starting to tense up and that's how I know she's enjoying. I gently suck a spot on her neck but my advances are soon stopped as she releases herself from my arms and pushes me off a little.

She turns herself around to face me and says "not now...the kids are here"

I give her a quick but sweet kiss on the lips & eagerly say "when?"

Tana smiles and playfully says "we'll discuss that after you finish washing the dishes"

"Home Sweet Home" I thought.
