Tana's POV
It had been a few months since telling Brandon about my pregnancy, and for the most part things have been going fine. The first trimester was pretty rough. Between the morning sickness, fatigue, responsibility of taking care of two young boys, maintaining a household, and caring for my husband, as well as myself and the baby inside me, I was surprised I had been able to do it all without feeling too overwhelmed. Nonetheless Brandon was always right by my side making sure we got through it all. Wether it was taking up some of the extra chores around the house, having the boys for a couple of hours so I can catch up on some sleep, or just reassuring me that everything was going to be okay, he was always there to make me feel much better. He really was the best husband and father any woman could ask for, and I was so happy he was all mine.
I was at the doctor's office for my monthly pregnancy checkup. Every time I came in my bump was slightly bigger than the last, but now being 5 months pregnant and in my second trimester there was no hiding this bump anymore.
"Alright Mrs. Flowers, everything is looking good as usual. Baby is nice and healthy is growing just perfectly".
I feel a huge sigh of relief as I take in everything my doctor just told me. Every time I come in here I can't help but worry something will be wrong, but luckily nothing ever has and I pray nothing ever will.
"You can clearly see his head right here, and his little tiny hands right there" the women says while positioning the monitor over my belly. It felt so cold along my bare skin. I smile at the black and white image of my baby on the screen. He was already so cute! I couldn't wait to see how he'd actually look like in person.
"And it's definitely a boy right?" I always had to double check.
"Yup, it's definitely a boy. You can see his little boy part right there".
I couldn't help but quietly giggle at her choice of words as she pointed to the screen showing me my baby's part.
"Would you like a picture of your baby?"
"Yes please" I practically jumped. Getting a picture was always my favorite part of coming in. I had lots of scan pictures already in my collection at home. I couldn't wait to put them all in his baby scrapbook.
After having a few pictures printed for me and having the jelly wiped off my belly I was free to go. I couldn't help but feel a little sad seeing my baby disappear from the screen. I could seriously watch him all day. I thank my doctor and say goodbye and once I collect my belongings I make my way back out to the waiting room where Brandon is waiting with the kids. As soon as I walk through the door Brandon smiles up at me and says 'there's mommy!' I smile at my gorgeous man and before I know it Ammon practically jumps off the chair and comes running up to me.
"Let me see! Let me see!' he yells out as he jumps up and down trying to reach for the pictures in my hands. He had seen enough of them to know they were pictures of his brother. I hand him a picture and after snatching it from my hand he starts to examine the image closely.
"Baby it's upside down " I giggle as I adjust the picture in his hands for him. "He's tiny!" he says still staring at his soon-to-be-born brother.
"He's still got way more to baby, your brother isn't done growing just yet". I run my fingers through my now 3 year old son's hair, happy to be back with him, and then my other beloved man comes joining in.
"So how'd it go?" Brandon says with a concerned look on his face.
"It went great. Baby is healthy and growing perfectly".
"Oh thank goodness". I could see him relax once I tell him everything is fine.
"Check him out. He's getting big". I hand him one of the other ultrasound pictures I was given and a huge smile comes across his face.
