"Ammon stop..."

"Daddy no!"

"Ammon seriously, quit with the attitude..."

"Daddy give it to me!"

"No! You can't have any! Not yet!"

"Daddy please?!"

"Ammon, I said no!"

"But daddy!"

I can see tears starting to form in Ammon's eyes. Oh god, how much it pained me seeing my son upset. Stay strong Brandon. Don't give in! Before I can say anything else I hear footsteps approaching.

"What on earth is going on here?!" Tana shouts, storming into the kitchen. Great, I'm in major trouble now.

I look at her, annoyed and frustrated by Ammon's tantrum, and try to calm down. "Ammon wants some cookies but I told him he has to eat lunch first"

"Oh my god that's why all the yelling? You two need to be quiet! I just put Gunnar to sleep and you're going to wake him!" Tana shouts once again.

"Where is he?" I ask.

"I have him resting in his baby swing in the living room. It took me forever to put him down for a nap so please be quiet!"

"I'm sorry honey..." I really did feel horrible now.

"Mommy!" Ammon cries out while running up to Tana, opening his arms out wide for her to carry him.

"Hi baby" Tana responds and picks Ammon up. He wraps his arms around Tana's neck and rests his blonde head of hair on her collarbone.

"Daddy is being mean" Ammon complains pouting his lips, still sad from not getting his way.

Tana automatically looks at me with a death glare as if she's telling me I know better than to mess with her precious baby.

"What?! I didn't do anything!" I blurt out trying to defend myself.

She rolls her eyes at me obviously not buying my story and focuses back on her beloved child.

"It's okay..." she whispers sweetly in Ammon's ear. "...mommy is here"

She rubs his back, giving him a gentle kiss on his head and just like that Ammon calms down. It was as if she had that magic motherly touch. I couldn't help but to feel a bit jealous at how attached Ammon was with Tana and the bond they had. Maybe it was because he spent more time with her than he did with me.

"What's up with him? Why does he have this attitude?" I say, trying to make it seem like Ammon's words of me being mean aren't hurting me.

"He's little, he's going to act out sometimes" She answers.

"But he was nothing but an angel yesterday, why the tantrum?"

"It's just a phase..." Tana adds in. She turns around heading back into the living room and like a little puppy, I follow.

She glances over at Gunnar in his nearby swing making sure he's still asleep before sitting herself down on the couch. She keeps hugging Ammon and continues gently rubbing his back trying to comfort him.    He hides his face in her tee shirt doing what he could to avoid eye contact with me.

"Mommy I'm sad..." Ammon mumbles into her shirt, clinging onto her tight.

"Did daddy upset you?" Tana says in her sweet voice again.    Ammon nods his head yes.
