I woke up in a steel room, strapped to a chair. I hadn't opened my eyes yet but could feel that I was not alone. Soon, I heard someone walk in, shouting, "Who the hell is this, and why should I care?" I assumed he was talking about me.

"Sir, she was found outside the base today. We brought her in to use her as a test dummy for Operation Super Soldier 2.0, but we discovered something out of the ordinary when we tried to test it on her," said a man with a small but intimidating voice.

"What?" said the man, who I assumed was his supervisor or boss.

"Well, sir, you should see for yourself," the other man said, handing him an injection filled with a blue liquid. I felt someone approach slowly and soon felt something poke my skin and slightly scratch it.

"How is this possible?" the man said, looking at the bent needle of the injection and then back at the other man in the room.

"We believe she is an enhanced being, sir." When he said this, I opened my eyes, using my powers to burn the rope tying me to the chair and started attacking the man who was still standing close to me. More men rushed into the room, distracting me as the room filled with gas, making me pass out again.

This time, I woke up strapped to what seemed like an operating table. Before I could make a move, I heard a man say, "Now." Less than a second later, I felt excruciating pain shooting through my head, like my brain was being electrocuted. I let out a loud, painful scream that kept growing louder and louder for several minutes until the voice of the man from the steel room said, "It's done now."

I stopped screaming as the machinery detached from my head, and the bed made me sit up. The man came up to me and stared at me for a few seconds before saying, "You are to be the new fist of Hydra, soldier." I looked him in the eyes and said, "Hail Hydra." He smiled and walked out of the room, leaving me in the dark.

Soon, I found out that they made me ingest the serum as they had no other way to get it into my system. After a while of training, which didn't take too long because of my enhanced reflexes from my powers, I was put on field missions. They were going to freeze me between missions but deemed it unnecessary because I didn't age.

They constantly tried to find my weaknesses while I wasn't on missions so they would have a way to keep me in line in case I realized that I could easily overpower them. But they failed each time, which just made it feel like pointless torture.

Years later, I noticed that I was only used for huge missions instead of weekly missions. One day, as they were taking me back to my "room," I saw a man dressed in a male version of my uniform, except he had a metal arm sticking out, being taken to the torture chamber.

It seemed like there was a new soldier who'd been taking some weight off my back. Not long after, I heard his screams echoing through the halls of the Hydra base. His screams kept growing louder and louder, and then I felt myself snap out of the trance I was in.

I felt confusion, the first emotion I'd felt in a while. Soon, I felt a wave of sadness and rage rush over me. I quickly ran to my cell, facing the wall, tears rolling down my face uncontrollably. Soon they stopped, and I felt rage as all the memories of what I had done and the pain I had caused people flooded back.

I sat there for what felt like hours, not moving an inch, contemplating my next move. I concluded that I had to get out of here. I could easily do so, but remembering the man with the metal arm, I knew that they had the power to make more super soldiers. I had to make sure they couldn't do that. I had to stay unnoticed. No one could know that I had come to my senses. I needed to keep acting like "the asset" if I was going to pull this off.

I quickly got myself together, wiping away any proof of my breakdown. Just as I wrapped up, a guard took me out of my cell. As he unlocked it, I attacked him, knocking him out instantly. I walked out, leaving his lifeless body there, and went to find where the serum was. But just destroying it wouldn't make a difference. I needed to find the source of the problem. I needed to find the creator and the formula and destroy them. I have to stay

After a couple of months of sabotage and sneaking around, I finally found the man and the formula. I used my powers to cause an explosion on the opposite side of the building. Most guards left to inspect and defend the building. I walked towards the scientist's lab, knocking out a few guards on the way. I reached the lab, and the scientist turned to look at me with horror in his eyes. I looked at the fear in his eyes and enjoyed it. I walked over to him, wrapped my hand around his neck, and choked him with all my strength as I watched the life leave his body.

As soon as he was dead, I hacked and deleted all of his research from the Hydra database and wiped the base clean to cause a mess for Hydra. I made my way to the exit. I remembered the soldier with the metal arm on my way out, so I went to find him.

I found him strapped to a chair, about to be wiped again. I charged in, attacking the two guards at the door, killing them. I took their pistols and shot everyone in the room except the soldier. "You wanna get out of this hell hole? Then follow me, cyborg." He got up, and we fought our way out of the base. As we got outside, I used my powers to send a blast of energy toward the base, blowing it up and watching it burn to ash. The soldier and I sat a safe distance away from the fire in silence.

He broke the silence,"Thank you for saving me."

I nodded and asked, "Why were they wiping your memory again? Last time I checked, it only needed to be done once."

"I saw someone from my past on a mission, and I was unable to complete it. They saw I was getting my memory back and tried to wipe it again." He responded.

I nodded. We sat in silence as the fire burnt out.

"So, where do you go from here?" I asked.

"I'm going to find him... the man from my past. I think he can help me... he can help us if you want to come."

I looked at him and shook my head, "I think I should get going, soldier. Good luck." He stood up in unison with me and asked, "What are you going to do? Do you have any family?"

I replied, "I lost everything I had long before Hydra. This was just another chapter in my life full of tragedies." I gave him a fake smile and walked off toward the escape helicopter I had set out for myself a week prior, saluting the soldier as I flew off.
